  • Love not having to put ear buds in and still jamming to my tunes!
Style: Alto M/L Pattern Name: Sunglasses
The media could not be loaded. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is active likes to be outdoors and enjoys music. I feel like I’m always listening to music so finally having headphones that don’t remove me from a conversation or make me seem rude. Is everything to me. The battery life on these is about 3 1/2 hours while playing music. You can also receive phone calls on it. It takes normally about two hours to charge in the charger is proprietary so be careful not to lose it. I would recommend ordering a second one just to have a back up because like I said, nothing else will charge this device. I also like the way the frames fit on my face I’m 6 foot six 200 pound guy and would recommend the medium to large frames for anyone out there of my size and stature with a larger face. The sound quality is amazing as always, and it really is crazy to be able to have a dance party and no one else can really hear your music. There is a quiet buzz of sound when you are listening if you’re in a quiet place, but nothing that’s disruptive. ... show more

  • An Absolute Game Changer!
Style: Alto M/L Pattern Name: Sunglasses
As someone who can't stand traditional headphones, these frames have been a game-changer for me. Pros: - Clear audio with great sound quality. - Easy for me to hear, difficult for others to hear without getting way too close into my personal bubble - Extremely comfortable. Earbuds hurt my ears and over-the-ear headphones give me a headache after a few minutes, so these are a perfect solution. The M/L size fits my giant head without being tight! - Stylish look with easy-to-change frames. (I wear clear frames since I mostly wear them indoors) - Easy to turn off and save that precious battery life without even having to think about it. Just flip them upside down and you're good to go Cons: - The battery life... It only lasts about 4 hours. - The charging cable is insanely short. And it's not the easiest to buy separately. - No wireless charging. I'd love to just be able to set them down and let them recharge. Since these frames are relatively new, I'm hoping we'll see the technology take leaps and bounds forward. But even now, they're still a fantastic purchase that I absolutely love. ... show more

  • Great sound
Style: Alto M/L Pattern Name: Sunglasses
These sunglasses are a great concept. I do not like wearing earbuds to listen to music because they hurt my ears and headphones are very bulky especially at the beach and going for a walk. These sunglasses did the trick. The sound is very impressive and the style of the frame is not bad. I took these sunglasses on a family trip to Aruba and I am not kidding when I tell you that 10 family members ordered them because they loved them. When I use them to talk on the phone I am told that the quality of sound is as good as the iPhone earbuds. ... show more

  • Experience with Bose Frames
Style: Alto M/L Pattern Name: Sunglasses
Recently purchase Bose Frames Alto. My main purpose was to use them for walking the dog and golf (both practice and during a round). I have had them a week and thought I would provide a quick review. When I first opened the box, I was slightly disappointed since they don't look like high end sunglasses. The frames are a mat finish and kind of look like 3D glasses from DisneyWorld. The case is pretty large and the bows look "thick". However, once I put them on my reservations disappeared. The quality of the lens seems very good and provides a clear, shape image on par with my Maui Jim's that I use for golf. My concerns about the thickness of the bows didn't play out either since the glasses feel very comfortable on my face. I do wish the nose piece had padding or a piece of rubber, but I didn't have any issues with them slipping. I was very impressed with the sound from the speakers and the fact that no one else could hear the music. I played golf on a windy day and never had issues hearing the music (or my partners cuss). More importantly, they couldn't hear what I was listening to. Now, don't expect to get great bass or anything since there is only so much you can do with speakers that aren't covering or in your ears, but I was very happy with the sound. Battery life was very good. I had the volume so it was comfortable for me and they lasted the whole round (just a touch over 4 hours). I didn't play continuous music, since I did pause it once in a while, but I am sure I listened for 3 hours easy. The other thing that really impressed me was the bluetooth range. I left my phone in my bag and I often would be 25 yards or more from the bag with no loss of connection. When I did get too far away, the frames told me and repaired when I got close enough. The ability to pause with the button was great and I could adjust the volume from my Apple watch. I think the cons are the looks of the frames and the special charging cable. Wish they had used a micro USB or something other than the special charging cable. Not sure where to buy extras since i know I will want to be able to charge them in multiple locations. I do recommend these. Clark Averill ... show more

  • Amazing sound and comfort - but buy the insurance plan! They are fragile
Style: Alto M/L Pattern Name: Sunglasses
I love these. This is pair number 4 in two years. I wear them walking the dog and can hear cars and people while still enjoying a podcast. No one else can hear it - just me. Listening to music while shopping the farmers' market. Asking Google about my next meeting while waiting at the post office. Awesome. I even bought the mirror lenses cause I am a child of the 70s. However, the first three pairs all stopped working. No sign, no visible damage. Literally, one day I put them on and nothing. So, buy that replacement policy and enjoy them. They are far better than any similar product I've heard. But they do break. A lot. ... show more

  • You can't really expect much else
For being sunglasses, they sound amazing. Bose really got it done with what they had to work with. That being said, they're extremely light on the Bass, and the volume control works, and it's really cool, but just do it in a private area so you're not made fun of. The way it works is you press the only button on the thing, and then turn your head. Left for down, right for up. I just wish they put normal volume buttons, or a touch bar or something other than this. It's a cool thing at first, but turning my head to turn my volume down gets old after a while ... show more
