I got this cover in August of 2021 - 18 months ago now. More than a month ago, I noticed that I would open the cover and my Kindle would still be on. This happens intermittently. The result, of course, is that my Kindle battery will often be down to 30% or less. I don’t like to let this happen, since it’s bad for the life of the battery. I’ve ordered another cover of a different type. For now, I try to remember to turn my Kindle off with the power button when I’m not using it. I liked everything else about this cover. I love my new kindle, my husband bought this for me for Christmas. He got tired of loosing me to the book store every few weeks for hours and i try to find new books to read. Now i can just type in a title or let it pick on for me. it is all that i had expected and more. it is a little hard to navigate to find the books that you have bought and not read yet. but i am still getting used to it. It is the same size as my paper back books and very easy to hold and read. the back light helps me a lot, i can read any ware and it never hurts my eyes. this is my first kindle and i just absolutely love it, i can adjust the light brightness and the size of the text (i can read it without my glasses if i choose to) and the green case is the perfect olive green. ... show more

I got this to go with my sage Kindle and it matches exactly. It is much cheaper material than my older case for my previous Kindle so I hope it holds up despite that because this one is expensive and harder to replace. I do wish the sides were more rubberized as others stated because these edges will not take inpact well. I like the magnetic closure and that the magnet also keeps the cover snapped in the bag as you are reading. The color of course is the best part and even the soft interior matches. It took a library closing to make me look at purchasing a Kindle. I am impressed. I can buy books or check out library books with ease. I can read anywhere. The charge lasts forever. My favorite reading spot outside is not a problem because there is NO glare on my kindle. I love taking a good book along to the park, beach, cabin or vacation but now I can take SEVERAL books!! I’ve had this for about a month now and still love it! Easy to hold, love the wake feature when opened, and the color matches the kindle perfectly. Magnetic feature keeps it closed, also keeps it open when wrapped around the back. I considered trying to find a cheaper knockoff, but I’m glad I decided to purchase this one. This is my first kindle, I’ve avoided making the switch for a while because I love physical books so much, and I think the cover helps me get a little feel of a book, when opening and closing! You want to mount it to open the opposite way from normal. I sleep on my left side, so want to mount this on my Kindle so it opens from the left to the right. That way, I can flip the cover over and kind of make a stand to hold the Kindle on its side while I lay there and read it. The only issue is that when you close the cover, it does not engage the sleep mode automatically. Other than that, it's a great cover.
