  • Best True Wireless Earbuds for Android
Pros: -Great sound. Much more powerful bass that I was expecting, can get very loud. -Quick and relatively stable connection. I only have sound drop out when I press phone against something and block it. -App works pretty well and has some good settings (though it could be even more configurable). Cons: -Not sure if this is a Pixel issue or what but notications are basically useless with these headphones because it just says the name of the app but not the content of the notification. -Music only pauses when both earbuds are removed instead of just one. (should be a setting, really) -Nearby Devices pairing and Dolby Atmos don't work on Pixel 3 or other non-Samsung phones. Not necessarily Samsung's fault but good to know. -Ambient Sound works pretty well but you have to manually toggle it on all the time. You can configure a touchpad hold to toggle it but I personally use the less hold for active Ambient Sound and the right one for Google Assistant. ... show more

  • Disappointing at best
Starting with what's good, excellent battery life, very comfortable, excellent ergonomics, nice case. But none of this matters because the most important thing is the audio quality which is poor at best. The fidelity range is very narrow with poor base and low volume in the voice range. UPDATE: three months later. Getting use to them has helped in particular understand ing how the software settings work. Inparticular there is a setting to enhance human speech which helps with the mid-range audio. But overall all they are disappointing. ... show more

  • Very disappointed
Very uncomfortable, poor sound quality, volume wouldn't adjust, wouldn't fit in case when rubber rings were attached. I'm returning them.

  • They're my favorite
If you have a Samsung phone, the Galaxy Buds are probably the best wireless earbuds you can get. After doing a ton of research into wireless earbuds - it was basically between the Apple AirPods and the Galaxy Buds. It seems that universally, the AirPods were "less comfortable" (unless they fit your ears really well), and didn't have as good of sound - but had a better battery life and some nice features like Auto-Pause when you remove one. On the other side, the Galaxy Buds are more comfortable, with interchangeable tips and wings for different ear shapes and preferences. The sound is phenomenal, and the battery life is pretty darn good. I wish there was some better features, but I'm happy with what I have. When I bought mine - neither the Buds nor the AirPods had ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) - however, the Buds fit so snuggly in your ears that they do a pretty good job cancelling out any noise - like earplugs would. The downside is that if you have an iPhone your ability to control the Buds is severely limited. The same goes for people who have a Samsung (or other Android phone) and want to purchase AirPods. They've really locked you into their ecosystem. But, since you're here looking at Buds and not AirPods I'll assume you're looking for something that'll play nicely with Android. In my opinion these are the most comfortable wireless earbuds you can get. The battery life lasts me 8 hours (music only) before recharging, and the case is small and compact. The case can also be charged wirelessly so if you have a wireless charger - just drop it on top when not in use. The "Ambient Sound" is a nice feature to increase environmental sounds when you're using them, such as mowing the lawn - while still being able to listen to your music or podcasts. Although not having ANC, I don't believe they need them. They fit some comfortably and block out so much sound as is, ANC would just be more battery drain. Some downsides with the Buds is that the Phone audio quality is a lot to be desired, and if you're outside in a windy condition there's times the connection will get weird. I've had times with my phone in my pocket and simply kneeling down (putting pressure on my phone in my pocket) is enough to make the connection crackle. Why? I don't know - something to do with their codec I suppose. Those downsides aren't enough to dissuade me, and I keep my Buds on me almost everywhere I go. ... show more

  • Great Sound! Until...
So I bought these back in February 2020 and they were FANTASTIC. I found it a little annoying that I had to download two separate apps to pair them with my Android phone (I had to download Samsung Wearables and Samsung Buds) but overall that whole process was easy and getting them up and running was painless. These worked fantastic and had great dynamic sound, as well as a pretty decent battery life. I typically use them a few times a week while I'm at the gym, and I could usually go a few full weeks before having to charge them. I recently took them on a roadtrip, where they lasted the whole twenty hours round-trip. Unfortunately, today I noticed that the right ear bud is EXTREMELY quiet and just didn't sound right; at first I couldn't even tell if it was making any noise at all. I tried disconnecting/reconnecting my Bluetooth, resetting the buds themselves from the apps, charging the defective bud in the case for a while, and charging the buds and the case itself to no avail--the sound is nearly undetectable and sounds very distorted in that bud. I'm not aware of any water or physical damage that was recently done to these; I even gently cleaned the ear grips and the ear pieces themselves thinking that maybe they had too much ear gunk built up on them and that was affecting the sound. Unfortunately, after reading many reviews with people who had similar problems, I think that my pair has reached the end of the road. A little disappointed, given the $100 I paid for them originally. I have a Oneplus phone, so I think I'm going to give the Oneplus buds a try and see how they compare. ... show more

  • Perfect for calls.
I have been working from home for 2 years and have made many improvements in the equipment I use. I had been using plug ins, but I began having issues, so I decided to look into wireless. I asked a friend who also works from home what she uses and she loves her Samsung wireless. I read tons of reviews and Consumer Reports these were highly recommended. I am very happy with the purchase, the sound quality for the high volume of calls I make is excellent. They are comfortable; easy to adjust and wear. ... show more
