  • Mice think it's a massage parlor
I tried these in the outbuilding as there were plenty of signs of mice. I liked that they had the food "hidden" so that the dogs wouldn't get to it. At first I tight maybe they had stopped frequenting the building due to warmer weather, as I want getting anything in the traps. However, signs of nice started appearing again (did a thorough cleaning to get rid of all prior signs). I checked all of the traps, one which was blinking as if full...it was an ACORN! They brought their snack with into this new massage "house". 😂 The bait was gone, and an acorn left in it's place. I know out was functional, as I zapped myself. While "shocking", it did not seem like that would be enough to kill anything, and the droppings sitting right on, in, and next to, the trap we're fairly indicative that it is not (not to mention the acorn incident). ... show more

  • Used to be good but now are not
I've been buying them at our store and now on Amazon. This new design shorts out on the floor, draining the batteries. They have a real problem with this new design. One out of several will work. With this latest shipment I was badly shocked when I loaded the batteries, and turned the trap on while in my hand getting ready to set it on the floor. With three new units bought, none work and all peanut butter eaten in each. And yes, all three have four fresh top brand name batteries in each of them. My one old trap also in service, buzzes with protest, is gnarly inside, and it still kills mice. None of my new ones purchased right here has done anything except feed mice with peanut butter. I have now set them on cardboard to hopefully keep them from shorting out on the pavement. I will start to purchase them again (at twice the price) at our local store so that I can return them when they fail out of the box like these did. ... show more

  • Clean and Easy
I bought these for my grandparents. They live in the country and are bombarded by mice. They have a hard time setting traps so I set them up. The mice come in waves and I’ve caught up to 3 a day. The traditional ones can be messy and a little dangerous when the young grandkids come around. I don’t like using poison. These traps may seem expensive but I figured I would give them a shot. I set one in the pantry, laundry room and my grandmothers car. So far I’ve caught a mouse in the car on the floor board. The light blinks and you could see the tail of the mouse. It was easy to separate the trap and open the flap to dump the mouse. The bait I used was peanut butter. I recommend this trap to anyone. Although it may be a little tough for an elderly person to separate the battery and trap. However you can still dump the mouse and reset the bait without separating the two pieces. ... show more

  • Doesnt work (amended - 1/2 worked)
I put this thing in the basement. Left some peanut butter as bait. The trap indicated that it went off. Inside - no mouse, bait gone, mouse poop literally on the electrode that is supposed to kill the mouse. The trap was angled off the wall when I found it so I assume the mouse received a shock, survived and then ate the pb. Dont waste money on this garbage *update: second one (out of the 3 pack I brought) actually did catch a mouse. If it keeps working I'll up the rating. The first trap seems to have been a dud. ** second update - trap 2 killed 3 mice but went off once without killing the mouse (bait gone and mouse poop in the trap) Over all these things do not really work reliably but will catch some mice. I keep trying to use them but wouldnt buy again. ... show more

  • READ before use!! BREAK EASILY.
These work great-IF THEY DON'T BREAK ON YOU. I've purchased 6 total and have just 2 functional units left. The primary issue is that the lids break easily and once the lid is broken, the unit no longer works. The lids break because it is really hard to clean the old peanut butter (the manufacturers suggested bait) out of the trap without straining the plastic hinges-and I have small hands. I finally figured out that OATS ARE A MUCH BETTER BAIT! They attract the mice and simply fall out of the trap when you dump the mouse out. Add a few more fresh oats and the trap is ready to go again. These units are way too expensive to replace frequently. If you can keep them functional, they are totally worth the price! Be gentle with them and use oats as bait! ... show more

  • Nice Idea, not such a great implementation
We have a detached garage, we had signs of mice in the attic, the old wooden mouse traps were catching nothing. (It turns out that the scent of dead mice on the wood scares away other mice). We bought 12 press N go plastic mouse traps and 3 of these Victor electronic traps, baited them all with peanut butter and a half a peanut. I liked the idea of a quick painless kill as the wooden ones sometimes showed that the mouse had suffered before dyeing. The first day we caught three in the Press N Go but nothing in the electronic traps. By the end of the second week we had 30 kills in the Press N Go but nothing in the Electronic traps. I suspect that the voltage is not enough to kill them, just to hurt them. These will be going back. ... show more

  • Pop, pop, pop. No more stress!
They work! I have played around with sticky traps. They are torture if you don't notice the mouse right away. And half the time they escape leaving their blood, fur, and fear poops behind. Then you have to dispatch them with a sturdy blow. The electronic zappers allow the mouse to die instantly in a state of joyful anticipation of peanut butter. They don't poison owls. The mice don't escape only to die in your walls. You don't have to talk to an exterminator who's just going to do the same thing but with poison. I'm just glad I can sleep now without hearing scratch scratch scratching in my walls. ... show more

  • Is official - These Don't Work
I was so excited to buy these and prove to my husband I can catch nice better, but after nearly 4 months, using gloves, placing along the walls in places I know they go, and giving them any treat they love, we've caught not a single mouse with these tapes. We've caught several with the Rat Zapper. Oh, and we use new name brand batteries to make sure the traps have power to zap- nothing! ... show more
