I have over a dozen Philips Hue bulbs in my house and most are the color ambiance. I have a very automated and very animated home. This bulb works as all the others do very well and with minimal setup time. Once you have a HUE network in place. The HUE system is so well done over others, but it comes at a cost. You will definitely pay a lot more for a single bulb or device over its competitors. But the amazon, apple, and google integration is far more reliable. It just means you more likely to build on it and use it for a very long time. My system from the 1st bulb to now is 5 years old and growing one bulb at a time. ... show more

These are a bit pricey but it’s worth it. The Alexa integration is superior to any other brands. The app does not lose connection like the cheaper brands. Super easy to connect to Wifi. I recently had to get a new router and these connected with ease. I cannot wait till Philips Hue comes out with multi color filament lights. I will be slowly replacing all my smart lights with Philips Hue ... show more

I’ve been using Phillips Hue bulbs for 3 years now. Still going strong. The color selection is amazing. Combine with Alexa and you have a SciFi / Star Trek experience. Worth it. So easy to set up and use with Alexa. Fun. I know there are other bulbs that claim to work with Alexa, IMHO Phillip’s Hue does it the best. Buy quality! ... show more

They connected to my Home Assistant Zigbee dongle quickly and without incident, but I ended up moving them to a couple of lamps--one that simulates sunrise to wake me, and a bedside lamp--because they just aren't very bright. They all just work well together with the hub. Colors are consistent scenes and automations are great. These lights in particular fit can lights well and are easier then fussing with the replacement LED fixtures.
