  • I've had it for 40 months. PQ for LED is terrific
Style: 75” 4K HDR Smart TV
I sit 7 feet from this 75" beautiful tv. I watch about 40 hours week, no gaming. I mostly stream but also watch 4k blu rays Cons:. Slow OS and Upscaling 720p not great. I solved both issues with Shield TV Pro. (Roku Ultimate ok too, but Shield much better upscaler) Off angle view suffers. From my 62" wide couch, straight on, there isn't a bad seat. However, if you were having seats around the room, the folks on the outside might feel jipped. After 3 years I've had to do a power cycle weekly to keep the tv from going black several times a day, randomly for a few seconds. I use an AVR and 5.2.2 setup, so I couldn't care less about the sound. Its my first 4k tv. I got it for a steal on Black Friday flash sale in fall of 2019 $1199. So that probably biases my expectations. My room is light controlled but this tv gets really bright. The colors pop and the detail is fantastic. The tv has an endless assortment of adjustments to fit any preference for visual settings I understand tests can detect what my eyes don't see. However, for 90% of us saving a several hundred dollars makes sense to get a picture this close to the best out there ... show more

  • If it doesn’t work right...ask questions why!
Style: 75” 4K HDR Smart TV
Ok. It is a great TV but nothing to write home about. Everything I own is Sony so I decided to add this 75” Vizio to my collection. If you can afford it go with the PX model. Now get ready to listen to what I had to go through to figure out why my Vizio decided to turn itself back on in the middle of the night each single night for an entire week. I had asked the Amazon community why was this happening to me ? Don’t bother with Vizio’s customer service. It will frustrate you even more. Everyone suggested disabling the CEC setting and told me that one of my electronics is sending a signal to the TV to wake up.....I did that! It did not work 🤨 Vizio told me to unplug the TV and press the ON button for 5 seconds......I did that! It did not work 😓 I then unplugged my units at night one at the time. It did not work.😡 My frustration grew stronger 🤬 I even went as far as filling a return order with Amazon. I was utterly pissed 😤 off. Leave it to my wife to suggest something else which really and truly devastated my state of mind. “Hon do you think is the Roku box not turn off ?”. 😖😫😣🤬😡🥵 So I tried her suggestion like the good husband that I am and went to Best Buy to purchase a 4K HDR Roku stick. This particular stick comes with the remote shown on the picture. Once I installed it it told me to ENABLE the CEC on the TV if I wanted to control the TV as well with the one remote. I crossed 🤞 my fingers....said a small sanity clearing prayer and enabled what EVERYONE had previously suggested I DISABLED. Hallelujah!!!!!!! 😢 It freaking worked!!! I’m keeping my Vizio and I will be watching the Super Bowl in Miami from Chattanooga,TN. “God bless you all” ... show more

  • DOES NOT HAVE BLUETOOTH, Smartcast App is TERRIBLE, Smart features are buggy
Style: 75” 4K HDR Smart TV
I bought this on Black Friday and was very excited. However after testing it, I'm having second thoughts because there's a lot of small annoyances that keep it from being a great purchase. Mostly this seems to be software and firmware bugs which I hope they can fix with updates. The good: 1. The Screen image quality seems very good. Colors look rich and the calibrated mode looks good. The contrast is REALLY good. In scenes where there is an indoor room with a bright window, the window is so bright I can barely see the character's faces. I'm not sure if this is an issue with HDR10+ (on Amazon) or some settings. Hopefully I can adjust this a bit. 2. The screen reflection is fairly good and even with all of my rooms the lights turned on max (my room lights are bright) I don't see much noticeable reflections. 3. The TV looks good, sleek, and lots of HDMI ports. 4. I cannot verify but the screen looks to be actual glass, not a plastic film which a lot of TVs are made of. I can't seem to find any documentation to confirm it but it looks like real glass. The BAD: 1. There is visible glow from captions on dark backgrounds. This is due to the full array not divided into more zones. It's not always noticeable viewing from head on but from the sides it's pretty apparent. This may not bother everyone, especially if you don't use captions. 2. Once in a while the entire backlight flickers on for a quick second as if the software got confused and the whole screen brightens. This seems like a bug that I hope they will fix in the future. 3. Despite what many sites like Bestbuy and other review sites say, this TV DOES NOT HAVE BLUETOOTH. Even in the question and answers section of Amazon, the Vizio Rep says it has Bluetooth LE. This TV Does not have it. I've scanned through the official specs for this tv on the Vizio site, went through every menu, and checked the manuals, there is no mention of bluetooth. The problem with this 1) you cannot connect external devices like headphones, keyboard, controllers, or any other device to this TV. 2) You can only connect the Vizio Smartcast App via wifi and it is buggy as hell. I've tried syncing my iPhone Smartcast app to the TV and it does not sync. I've gotten it to work twice but the very next day when I turn on the TV, the app does not connect and can't find the TV. When I try to resync and reconnect the TV to the app, 90% of the time the App can't detect the TV or when it does, it gets stuck asking me to connect to the wifi network even though it already is. This is disappointing as I got the 75 inch version for $1,200. For a $1,200 TV in 2019 to NOT have bluetooth seems unreasonable. 4. Using my Samsung sound bar in ARC mode, the TV is supposed to detect the sound bar and turn off the embedded TV speakers. However 1/2 of the time when I turn on the TV both are playing and there is a delay between sound bar and TV speakers. When you turn "off" the TV speakers in settings it turns off the Sound bar as well. Other times It simply doesn't detect the sound bar at all. 5. The Smartcast apps CANNOT BE UPDATED AT ALL! WIth Samsung TVs the TV acts like a giant android tablet and you can download a plethora of apps. WIth Vizio you download nothing and you can only use whatever apps that come preloaded with the TV. Any other apps you want to use have to be cast with Airplay from your phone or tablet. For example, Disney Plus just came out and there's no way to download the app to the TV or cast it at the moment. 6. Peripherals support. TV's from other manufacturers like Samsung are like large tablets or mini computers - you can attach a mouse, keyboard, wireless headphones, wireless speakers, etc. There's a basic OS that recognize these devices and you can surf the web, etc. To my knowledge this TV has none of these features or support. No bluetooth, no keyboard or mouse connectivity, no headphones, etc. This is pretty sparse for a $1200 TV. ***If this review was helpful, please give me a helpful vote! Thanks!*** ... show more
