Fit and Finish excellent. What is included in the package, excellent. Has cardboard templates to help determine size and positioning of your lock on your door, screw driver, etc. Installation - the physical installation was easy, except for a problem with my door that is not the fault of the lock. The instructions are clear and there are online videos to watch too. App and software installation - not so easy. You have to have a 2.4 ghz router. Okay, mine was dual speed, so I had to connect my phone to the slower wifi for the installation. Lock could not be connected. rebooted everything and installed latest firmware on router, reinstalled lock connection. Okay. Got lock working basic functions. However, auto unlock function still does not seem to work. Trying to figure out. Also, only after doing all the installation and getting the lock to run with the App did I learn that in order to get the Ultraloq Air function to work (so I can remotely open the door for someone through the web) that this function has to be installed on my phone First before connecting to the lock. Need to reset the lock and go back to start over again. This is Stupid. Ultraloq should either 1) Make it very clear that this is the process, or 2) make it so you can install the Air function after the lock is ready to go. ... show more

    • Works Well Enough

So, I will say it works well enough. First, let me talk about the installation. It took me less than 15 minutes to exchange the deadbolt on my house. I understand that some people struggled with installing that and I wonder if that is the fault of how the door is cut versus the deadbolt itself. It installed without any issue and was quite easy to put together. No worse than any other deadbolt I have installed. Second, the application. It did take me about 15 minutes to get that setup and configured as a skill with Alexa. It was a tad annoying that I had to be inches from the lock to configure it but it does mention that in the instructions. I believe I read a review that indicated that it didn't convey that - I promise that it said it right on the screen when I was setting up the lock, so I set my cell phone on top of the lock as I figured I could not get much closer than that. Third, setting up the additional codes was a breeze. I was able to easily configure two additional codes for my brother and friend that come to my house quite often. I sent them the code via double-cryptic-cipher -- no, I'm kidding, I just texted it to them -- and they were both able to get in the house. Fourth, I said there was something annoying. I disabled auto-lock but sometimes it decides to still auto-lock the door while I have it open. I am not entirely sure why it does that, but that is the one complaint that I do have. Fifth, be sure to replace the striker plate in your door frame with theirs. I made the mistake of saving 90 seconds and not replacing it and occasionally the lock would jam and not want to open. This is entirely my fault and due to nothing more than my own laziness. Once I put in their striker plate, I have not had any issues. So, I suppose I should say it took me less than 15 minutes plus 90 seconds to install the lock after I came back to really finish the job. All in all, it does what it says it will do. It keeps your door locked. It allows you to set codes. It connects to Wifi if you get the Wifi enabled version -- note that it says clearly on the product that it has a bluetooth only version or the bluetooth plus Wifi version. Spend the extra money on the Wifi and have it connect happily to your router and be able to "talk" to the lock remotely. It will make your day. Or evening. Whatever time of day that you happen to leave your house and wonder if you remembered to lock your door or not. Which is why I bought this. ... show more

I bought 5 of these for my home and apartment. I love the product and the company really stands behind them. I had issues with 2 locks many months after purchase and the company sends replacement parts eagerly. I recommend this product and this company. My only critique is that the finger print locks do not work well outdoors. You wind up punching in the code rather than keep trying. The indoor fingerprint ones are great. ... show more

I just bought a new house and wanted a smart lock so I could set up codes for the people coming in to do renovations instead of giving each one a physical key, and also so I could monitor the status of the door from afar. I like it's functionality with the codes. I like that, if you install the door sensor, it can auto lock when the door is closed. I don't like that the geofencing for auto unlock takes so long to connect that I will already be in the house (via code or physical key) and have the door locked back, then hear it auto unlock. I ended up turning that feature off and just using the code every time. If I'm not going to be able to use the geofencing for auto unlock, I wish I had gotten the model that reads fingerprints so I could use that instead of wearing out the buttons for the same code all the time, potentially making it easier for someone to guess my code in the future. Bought on sale as a bundle with the wifi bridge. Pros: Works great! locks, unlocks, never need my keys again! it does begin telling you when the batteries are dying, which for me took about 11 months on 4x AA Duracell Optimum. Setup is easy, including connecting to the wifi bridge and home network. Cons: App notifications fail when you restart your phone. You have to re-open the app at least once so it can properly go to the background again. Upgrading phones, when logging in for the first time, it somehow 'forgets' that you're the owner of the lock that's already attached to your account, so you need to remove the lock from your account, and re-add it manually. Plus Side: all user settings are stored in the lock, and are preserved. If they can fix the notification/background bug, so the app auto-backgrounds on startup like my battery and weather apps do, it would be 5 stars. ... show more
