  • Love at First Sync!
Yes...it was love at first sync! I have used this watch non-stop for four days now, so I believe I am in a position to review it. Where to begin...? After months (and months, and months) of not taking proper care of my body, I bought this watch to educate me, motivate me, and hold me accountable for my goals. And YES - it is doing all of that and then some. I am beyond excited about the depth of information I am receiving on my health, sleep, and performance stats. I have had some nice "activity" watches in the past, but they didn't even scratch the surface of what this bad boy can do. I am able to learn about stats and readings that I didn't even know existed. My mind is literally blown. And I have only just begun - there is so much more to this watch than I have even explored at this point, and I have spent several hours already. To interpret the data and track my progress, I use the Garmin Connect app on both my iPad Pro and my Samsung Galaxy S10. At this early stage, I much prefer the iPad, because there is SO MUCH to read and learn if you really want to delve into all the data. And being a total data nerd, I DO want to read every single word and review every single stat that Garmin has provided. For me, the bigger screen makes a huge difference, since I am just starting out and am reviewing an abundance of detailed info in order to learn all I can. The phone app has the same functionality, but the smaller screen is better (for me) for just checking quick stats versus reading pages and pages of info. Of course, once I am more familiar with the data, what the data actually means, and how my actions can affect it, I won't need to read nearly as much. As others have mentioned, downloading the owner's manual is a MUST. No exceptions! The info that comes in the package with the watch is just a tiny pamphlet to get you started. The owner's manual is over 50 pages long. You get the idea. I downloaded it (available on the Amazon product page) the day before my watch was to arrive so that I would be better prepared to dive right in once I received it. It was overwhelming to say the least, but also so exciting to learn about how this device can literally change your life. For me, there was a bit of a learning curve (and I still have more to learn), but it wasn't nearly as bad as I feared. Once I received the watch, I found it pretty easy to navigate - just do your best to quickly memorize what each of the five buttons do, and you will be off and running (pun intended) in no time. As far as other functionality, I was able to quickly link my Amazon Music account and my Poly (formerly Plantronics) Backbeat Fit 3150 earbuds. How wonderful to be able to go for walks/runs and not have to carry a device to play your music. Others mentioned having trouble with certain earbuds, but mine have worked perfectly with this watch. I highly recommend them. (If you do buy them, keep in mind that they are designed to let ambient noise in as a safety feature for those exercising outside or other public places.) As far as the physical features of this watch, I have no complaints! It looks nice (I bought the 6s Pro in rose gold), and it fits my wrist very well. The watch face is just large enough to easily read the abundance of info, but not so large that it feels "clunky." I wear it all the time (even sleeping), and have had no issues in terms of comfort. Actually...there is one exception: I don't wear it while I am showering or bathing. Just my personal preference - I take it off right before, and put it back on as soon as I am dried off. To protect the watch face, I purchased the screen protector made by Suoman (available on Amazon). Glad I did, as I have already banged it into the wall a few times. I am a bit of a klutz, so... :) Anyway, I am sure there is something I am missing, so I will update this review if necessary. I also haven't tested the accuracy against other devices, but will do so when I have the opportunity. But from what I have seen thus far, it seems extremely accurate. I hope this review helped at least one other person in their decision-making process. I relied on the reviews when deciding whether or not to purchase this watch, and always try to pay-it-forward. Wishing you all health and happiness! ... show more

  • Best Watch I’ve ever had
OH MY GOSH!!! I LOVE this watch!!! I had an Apple Watch series 3 for three years and liked it. I thought I would never NOT have an Apple Watch. But it was in accurate with my treadmill running and I had to charge it every day or every 36 hours. Often when I was running outside it would have my splits wrong and then after I finished my run it would be different than my activity app Strava. I decided to switch because my husband also has a Garmin Fenix men’s watch. I love it! It’s very reliable, battery lasts for 6-9 days depending on my activity and use, and it is very nice looking. It isn’t too bulky, it’s very light and it’s feminine looking....which I like. My runs are accurate and my watch is able to program my stride to be able to calculate my treadmill running based on my personal stride which I think is awesome. I like that I can track my lifting sets right there on my watch. I love the color and I love how it fits. The band is soft and feels light while wearing. It just has SO many options. I’m literally obsessed ... so yes I would recommend. If you want accurate splits and accurate tracking of your activity...go Garmin. ... show more

  • Tracks many different activities, stylish, easy to use
The media could not be loaded. I wear this watch every day, it’s overall very easy to use. Some difficulty scrolling through the widgets on the fly but most things are done in the garmin connect app. Excellent battery life.

  • Easier than I thought!
I bought this watch for the topo maps and gps (not cellular) mapping for hiking and off-trail trekking. I thought the other features would be too complicated - crazy button pushing scheme to navigate. However using and paring up the app was not a bad process, and within a day I was pushing the buttons with ease, and operation is not that bad. Now I’m totally hooked on my sleep cycle and stress charts. I didn’t have to set up my goal steps, the watch did that for me using my actual steps from the first day or two. The app also works perfectly with the health app from my iphone as well as myfitnesspal app. I enter data as usual and the garmin app does the rest - even calculating how many calories I’ve burnt on a walk. Best of all my watch battery lasts 9 days on one charge. Way better than an apple watch. Plus, I have a gps mapping system wherever I go, and don’t have to worry about keeping it charged up for a few hours hike. My new favorite toy!! ... show more

  • SO happy with this watch!
My husband got me this watch for Christmas 2020. I was a little leary about it after reading some of these reviews but I have LOVED IT! The battery lasts 4+ days even with doing a few 5 miles runs in that time frame. I used the workout planner on the connect app to upload an interval run last night and it turned out great! The heart rate and GPS is much more accurate than my Samsung Galaxy watch was, also this battery lasts SO much longer. I'm training for a 40 mile trail run this year and I'm confident this will hold up great! I'm also starting to upload playlists from amazon music which I'm excited about. Overall great watch and battery life! Also has a nice look and I don't feel awkward wearing to work or dressier outfits since its beautiful! ... show more

  • Favorite Smart Watch
I love this watch! Way more accurate than an Apple Watch. I have logged runs, strength workouts, stretches, yoga, pilates, breath work, hikes, walks, and rows. I am happy with the performance. I love that I can track my hydration, my cycle and my sleep. It is nice that you can track your rest and make smarter choices on training days. I am really impressed with the battery life and how quickly it reaches a full charge. I am forever a Garmin fan now. ... show more
