Since the blanket only stays on for two hours, how can it keep the user "warm all night" as hype on Amazon says? Had to reset it repeatedly all night when it turned off and I woke up cold? Also, I'm really scared by how hot the rather flimsy controller gets - even when it was fully exposed to air. This can NOT be safe. When I say it gets hot, I mean it gets hot enough to burn my fingers. It is NOT attractive as described, but this is unimportant to me if I finally got a reliable blanket/throw that lasts (Sunbeam and both Biddeford have proven unreliable - speaking of multiple blankets). I dont know how it would hold up as I don't want to continue to use it at night, but even if you only want it for short daytime use, don't expect it to be as glamorous as it is described. I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. She loved it until the control on the cord overheated, warping the plastic to the point where we couldn't press any buttons. It was plugged in (the power was off), but for some reason when we went to turn it back on, the control was extremely hot. It can't be used anymore. I've been on the hunt for a nice heated blanket for the past month or so. I initially purchased the 50x60 Faux Fur version from this brand and even though it got super warm I thought the price was a little high (I bought mine for $69.99- they have since dropped the price a bit) for the lack of thickness and standard size. After more research, I decided to try this bigger version and I'm so glad I did. It's everything I'm looking for in a heated blanket. Its SUPER soft & thick, heats up quickly, and big enough to cuddle up under without your feet sticking out. I'm giving it 4 stars because I don't feel like it gets as hot as the Faux Fur version (probably due to thickness) and there's a pretty big gap between the edge of the blanket and the heating element. This isn't a deal breaker for me, but I've definitely had to pay attention to where the heating parts are so that I can get even heat on my feet and body. Overall its a really nice blanket and would make a great gift! **Update: As of 5/4/20 I am receiving a replacement for this blanket. I've seen many people saying that after a few months the controls will flash and the heating element won't turn on. The same exact thing happened to me so I contacted the company. The replacement process was super simple and they responded very quickly. Hopefully I won't have any more issues and the replacement will last a very long time! ... show more

Love this! It is super soft and luxurious, Im excited for cold nights and watching movies on the couch. I especially love that it only comes with 3 heated settings, my previous heated blanket had 10 settings and it was too complex to set the perfect temperature, less options are better, you’ll know what you want. It came in a very nice package box. The Faux Fur is very soft and sparkling slightly under the light - adding a bit of holiday feel. The heated electrical lines are not visible at all on the surface of the thaw - exactly as the photos showed, which I like it a lot. The three levels of heat control is easy to operate and it warms up fast. The power cord is long enough for me to connect to the outlet either by my desk or on my sofa.
