Great beard trimmer that can be used for haircuts and body hair as well. I also found great value in the detail trimmer attachment, as it is very precise and is easier to use than the pop-out trimmer on my Braun Series 8 electric shaver. Don't listen to the complaints about shaving cream on the device; it appears to be a white grease that is applied at the factory to help with lubrication of the internal parts and included attachments. I would also ignore the concerns about accidentally turning the dial while shaving; while this is technically possible, it really shouldn't happen if you are holding the device properly. I haven't had the misfortune of the guard slipping down while shaving either, but I suppose it's possible; I will report back if this starts happening with mine. The only reason why I am docking one star is because the short guard that is used for beard trimming has slightly sharp tips that are uncomfortable when pressed firmly against the face and moved around. The longer haircut guard has nice smooth tips, similar to beard trimmers from other manufacturers that I have owned in the past. I'm not sure why they didn't just use that design on both guards. I wish they made higher end beard trimmers but they just don’t exist and I can’t get enough adjustment granularity with my professional clippers. The attachment heads and the guards feel incredibly cheap and they’re just push on mechanisms so they’re very easy to bump off or loosen on accident. Cleaning the heads is also very difficult after every use because of how they’re built. I wouldn’t purchase this again. My old one was a Panasonic and with it being idk 10 years old the battery degrade is becoming an issue so I had to replace it. ... show more

Very good trimmer for my short beard. Numbered dial finely adjusts length using stubble/short or long beard attachments. Also good for trimming head hair when traveling. Precision trimmer attachment works great on clean nose, ears and face; trims closer than previous flip-up, but slightly less convenient. I shave clean areas with a manual razor. Glad I didn't buy the shaver or nose attachments. No machine oil required (convenient and healthy). Li battery provides many trims and charges quickly. I have used this trimmer for 1 year, and I expect it to last longer than the 3-4 years of previous battery models. ... show more

So I was coming from a Philip Norelco 5000 series, which I had for like a year and a half. It worked really well, so well that my little brother practically stole it from me haha, so I wanted to get a replacement, but wanted to try a different brand. Had a Panasonic, the built quality was a little cheap and the adjustable cuts a struggle, so that one didn't go well. And then I stumbled upon Braun, saw the offer that even included multiple attachments, adjustable and even a razor so I decided to give it a shot. Since the moment you grab it feels a bit heavier than the previous ones I had, that on its way makes it feel a bit more premium. But lnces you turn it on you really feel it, the smoothest of the razor blades moving without making much sound, the cuts were clean, not even a hair pulled (it's new I know, but still), easy to clean, easy to use and the 5mm adjustments are easy to change. I trimmed my own hair and was blown away with the results (I also believe that the practice during quarantine is paying it's bills, but also the trim felt so much better compared when I was using my Norelco). Overall if you are wondering which one you should by if a BT5265 or a Norelco 5100 series. I would say you can't go wrong with either, but both are around the same price range and this one includes more attachments. I'm very happy with the purchase. ... show more

Overall love the product but the worst aspect of it is that twice now the setting has somehow changed and I’ve sheared off an entire section of beard. First time, blamed it on myself for potentially hitting the setting. Second time, I 100% did not have my fingers near that area after my first incident ... show more

This is a high quality product that is easy to use. It is a good value. I like the ability to easily adjust cutting length as well as to remove the guides to finetune the lines of my goatee. I do suggest buying the suggested storage box.

I have a fussy relationship with my facial hair. During the quarantine I brought back my "chinstrap" / Lincoln beard. I've used several trimmers from one with varying guards (messy, they get lost, or only a few are ever needed) and one with an adjustable guard. I favor the latter, and this one is as good as it gets. Very precise levels of adjustments, and the guard itself is made of a strong quality plastic. I've had several where you can see the plastic bend or crack, or just pop off randomly. This one is very well integrated. The body of the clippers is also a very solid build, and I love the soft touch design of the power button. The battery life is pretty remarkable! I've shaved several times and haven't found any drop off from the motor function and it keeps the charge very well over days. Nice clean power cord as well, instead of overly thick overly long wire.
