So I've had the Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Note 10+, and now the Pixel 4 XL. * If you've had the Pixel 2 or 3, this is well worth the upgrade. Critics knocked this phone, but I gotta tell ya. It's fantastic. Pros: * The Vanilla Android Experience. It's fantastic. Much better than Samsungs or LGs UI. * Camera - I don't care what DXO Mark says. This and the Iphone 11 have the best cameras. I was using the Note 10+ before this and it doesn't even come close. If you have kids that move around. This is the camera to get. Hands down. * Face Unlock - Never thought I'd appreciate it so much. Fast, accurate. Fantastic * Screen - Fantastic. Smooth. I turned the 90Hz off and didn't notice a difference. It's great. * Sound Quality - As good as the best out there. Cons - * Battery life is Good. Not terrible. But at these prices you expect Google to keep up with phones like the Note 10 * They took away the finger print scanner, which is fine, but with that they also took away the "Menu Down" feature you could use w/ the finger print scanner. That....I miss. * I would have wanted a bigger screen for this price, bu that's me being picky. * Price - Only buy this phone on sale. Not woth $900 or 1K . I bought it on Black Friday. I went from the Pixel 2XL to the Note 10+. I wasn't happy with the Note 10+. Battery life was fantastic but the pictures were just terrible. I gotta tell you....this is the phone. Nothing comes close the user experience for me. Love it. 4 Stars due to the Cons, but I'm 5 Star happy lol. ... show more

  • Pixel 4, Is it as bad as they say?
What is there to say about the pixel? The camera is what shapes this phone. On top of that, you get a customizable Android experience. Of course, Oxygen OS gives you this as well. I upgraded to the 4 XL from a Pixel 1 and it's a new experience. The biggest downside to this phone is the missing audio jack. Although, this can be fixed with a USB-C to 3.5mm. I thought I'd miss the fingerprint sensor but face unlock is convenient. Let's talk about the battery since this is an issue for some. If you're considering this phone, get an XL you'll thank me. It has a bigger battery than the normal Pixel. It lasts for a long time from what others said. The battery isn't an issue with this phone. Along as you manage your phone use. This isn't a power user phone so if you sit on it for 10 hours, you might want to look at a Samsung. I purchase this phone got for USED. Amazon sends you a phone which makes you wonder if it's new. Go for a 64 GB phone to save the cash. If you need more space you can get Google One for extra space. For the camera, it's the bread and butter of this phone. You can easily get DSLR quality photos with this phone. Another good camera phone is the iPhone Pro Max 11. You can easily produce amazing photos with this. Look into moment lenses if you want to make a Super Camera. You should buy this phone if you care about: Newest Android Updates, Camera Quality, a 90hz display, powerful speakers, and a snappy GPU. Note: (If the battery is an issue the phone has an adaptive battery. Give it about a week's time and you should see better performance.) ... show more

  • Great phone as expected from a Pixel, but battery could be better.
Love the phone. You get what you would expect from a Pixel, though definitely recommend getting it via a Black Friday deal (got mine for $200 off). Great camera, flexibility, best software, etc... If you are alright with being limited by brand, buy an iPhone. But if you like being able to customize to your liking, stick with Android. The face recognition is very fast, gestures are neat (though don't really find the opportunity to use them), really enjoy my alarm volume decreasing when it knows I'm reaching over to silence early in the morning. I chose the XL because Google did make one big mistake with this generation and that is the battery. I play games and use the phone all day and am at around 40 to 50% when I go to bed, so for me the XL is sufficient but I would assume the smaller version battery would be an issue. All in all, great phone. Buy it when it is discounted, get the XL to avoid battery issues and you'll be happy. One last little con is that Google didn't include headphones. For a flagship phone that costs this much, they could/should have included headphones or at least an adapter given this doesn't, like most new phones, have a headphone jack. ... show more

  • A happy purchase
I am a google fanboy, so naturally I am going to use a Pixel. I actually ended up switching from Apple, to the Pixel line, and I am quite satisfied with my purchase. I know the battery life of the Pixel 4/4XL get a bad wrap, but with normal use I can make the phone last until the night, with heavy use and battery saver mode, I am probably going to have to find a charger around 4-6 o'clock, depending on what time you start your day. I will say that the battery life is better than iPhone, if you want to compare. There is no fingerprint scanner, which was an odd feature to leave out, but the facial recognition works very well for me, and is super quick. The fact that we are wearing face masks out now (pandemic) makes the facial recognition kind of useless , though. The camera is amazing, and I prefer it over the iPhone 11 and the Samsung S20. I have never been a fan of Samsung's camera's, but I do really like the quality of the iPhone camera. ... show more
