  • Love it!
I was sceptical at first because battery life usually isn’t up to par when it comes to touch screens but the battery lasted about two days when it first arrived. I use it for university and it’s great! It’s versatile. I can use fold the keyboard back and use it as an ebook flip the keyboard back to type. I didn’t know that I was going to receive the pen either and I like it. The only problem I have is that sometimes when typing using the keyboard the cursor moves to a different location and when scrolling, it starts to freak out (maybe because of the sensitivity) but overall I love it. ... show more

  • Almost there... No Thunderbolt 3
It'd be great, and 5 stars, if this had a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C. With the high placement of the USB C port you need a longer dongle cord or it hangs. It does heat up significantly and it's hot to touch not warm, hot. It does a lot but for the price point it seems the heat and the Thunderbolt 3 should not be issuesbb ... show more

  • What a great tablet/laptop replacement
I was a little concerned about liking this. Haven't worked on a 12.3 inch screen and need enough power to have mulltiple Microsoft and some Adobe applications open at same time. I was delighted to see this is a small, lightweight, powerhouse!! Sharp looking, great ergonomics and keyboard and stunning display. The i7 version with 16GB RAM is ample and it is highly responsive and fast - even in comparison to my heavy duty i9 laptop! A bit pricey - but in this case you get what you pay for. I am very pleased ... show more

  • Nice Computer
so far I am really liking this Surface. I got exactly what was ordered, new and sealed in the box. It was easy to set up and so far seems pretty snappy, the screen is great and I love the type cover. Battery life seems good, maybe not exactly as long as they claim. If I had to complain about one thing, it's the useless face recognition which has not worked even one time. I hope to figure out how to disable it because it really does not work at all. Overall, I am really happy with the tablet. ... show more

  • Great product at a fair price
I liked that the product was exactly as advertised, Microsoft Surface Pro 7 with 16GB of memory and an Intel I7 processor. Setup was flawless out of the box with no issues. And on top of that, there was not a lot of sample software pre loaded for your review. Nine. Very happy with the purchase and set-up. Deliver was also 2 days ahead of the promised delivery date. ... show more

  • Random issues here and there. Nice concept though, and possible to do work on the go.
Overall, I'd say that the functionality of this tablet is substandard for precise applications, even the fancy intel i7 version. What I like: The design is pretty good. I'm pleased with it. The keyboard and flip out stand work well. The screen is indeed very nice... Portability vs Performance is pretty good. What I don't like: 1. I've had several issues with pen recognition and writing. At some point I had to re-install drivers because the OS (Windows 10 home) could not handle an SSD drive. What a mess with no obvious cause (but a suspected one). At one point it just crashed to black screen and I had to reboot into recovery... hmm.. that was scary. The ONLY reason I went with this is because of the pen functionality. However, by now there are many options that can handle on-screen pen functionality well. 2. Graphics and Photography... If you need the screen to be stable and always present the same brightness and color... forget about it. I've had it calibrated with a professional tool and set the brightness properly (disabled automatic brightness control) and it STILL has issues maintaining consistent lumen output. I may need to do some registry editing or something other than simple UI settings to figure it out... 3. Power throttling. . . It sucks. Even with power throttling disabled, the OS slows everything down as soon as power reaches 30% or there about. Even if you adjust all UI settings to disable that feature, it doesn't help. I had to again do some registry editing ... currently testing if it worked. For regular use, it doesn't matter, but for graphics or photo editing, it makes the computer unusable. 4. Windows. Yes, it's a huge disadvantage, so if you're a MAC person, don't even bother with this. Windows 10 comes with too much bloat, too many hidden features, and too much automation that only gets in the way. Also, it sucks in terms of privacy. Windows just wants to ingest as much of your life as possible .. 5. Too many useless processes are running at all times and there isn't an easy way to disable features that you don't need that eat up power, time and other resources. Conclusions. I think the most powerful version with the core i7 processor (with fan) was not necessary. Most of the time the fan doesn't even engage and I can work on lesser power settings without issues. For photography and graphics, I'd go with more ram and hard drive space rather than the fastest processor. The real issue is resource management, automatic throttling and background processes, not maximum performance. Though as a caveat, it also matters what program I'm using. An optimized program like Capture One 20 pro runs beautifully without any issues. But Exposure x5 is nearly unusable (Exposure is also pretty sluggish on my home machine, which is a lot more powerful). I would say that for regular use, document processing, video streaming and the like, this is an OK machine. Probably overkill. I wouldn't recommend using it for gaming or video editing. A full laptop design would be better. ... show more

  • Exactly what I was hoping for.
This is perfect for what I need. I meet with clients daily and I need signatures so the touch screen with the pen (sold separately) and the fold back keyboard gives me the convenience of a tablet but the functionality of a laptop. It's fast enough and easily tethers with my phone. You wont be disappointed if your thinking about getting a new system. ... show more

  • I am hooked...
I LOVE this laptop! I have never owned a surface pro before and now I am hooked. I love the ease of sitting on the couch with it or moving it to the table or bed. The touch screen is accurate when I draw and the battery is decent. This is my favorite laptop I have owned. I opted for the payment plan and that is going well, too. Thanks! ... show more
