  • for the most part I loved this watch..
for the most part I loved this watch.. the 1st) complaint that I had was that I noticed two not so pretty dead pixels on the very top of the screen/bezel.. (where you would normally swipe down for the quick panel).. unfortunately, for me, I did not purchase insurance.. and because the dead pixels did not physically interfere with the function of my watch I didn't want to go through the hassle of doing a return.. so I chose not to.. the 2nd) complaint that I had was that I literally only added 1 app (spotify, which i rarely ever used from my watch app) to the watch and the battery would be under 15% by the end of my 12hr shift at work.. never really figured out why exactly but the battery never lasted an entire 24hrs before dying.. 3rd) complaint isn't really towards the watch itself.. but more towards the functionality of it.. when recieving notifications on the watch every notification came through twice, back-to-back.. I loved my watch for just over 2yrs before I had to upgrade due to my screen no longer responding to touch.. ... show more

  • Yes Yes Yes
I'm really loving this. After a few weeks of wearing my watch, I've found out that: 1) This is PERFECT for quickly answering calls without having to dig my phone out of my pocket and not having to wear a headset all the time 2) This is PERFECT for getting ONLY THE NOTIFICATIONS THAT I CARE ABOUT. The fact that I can set what notifications come up on the watch completely independently/differently than how I have applications notifying on my phone is a GAME CHANGER! The critical/important stuff buzzes my wrist so that I can react no matter where I am, but the other stuff can queue up on my phone notifications to be checked at my convenience. 3) This is PERFECT for reminders of upcoming meetings and events -- especially in today's age of Work From Home, where a break for bathroom, snack or lunch can sometimes come dangerously close to that Zoom/WebEx meeting that someone sends out last minute or that you misread the time because of Time Zone differences, etc. 4) I love love love the Samsung Health integration that helps me track everything from sleep to exercise to food to water intake, and even stress level. Seeing these things measured helps encourage me to improve with baby steps -- a little at a time. Just don't frustrate yourself by trying to be perfect. Accept the truth about your current self-discipline (or lack thereof) and just consider it a nudge to head in the right direction -- not a critique and criticism that you're fat, lazy, and undisciplined. 5) Samsung Pay is wonderful to be able to pay touchless at most places that take credit cards. The less I touch, the less I'm handing germs back and forth during this pandemic :) 6) The G'Night App is awesome in how it actively monitors my sleep and wakes me up based on the best part of my sleep cycle shortly before my "wake up by" time. I'm telling you, folks. It is a game changer for someone who was always hitting the snooze over and over again. Waking up at the right place in my sleep cycle has me ready right then to start my day. 7) Music controls always available on my watch for Amazon Music and Spotify is so much more convenient than unlocking my phone 8) The variety of quality watch screens is fantastic, and I toggle between simple, minimalist faces like the Regarder Series and highly functional/busy faces like the Matteo Dini Series 9) For charging, I simply take the watch off when I'm showering and getting ready and let it charge each day during that time period -- and that is sufficient for me to not run out of battery or have to go without the watch 10) As far as comfort goes, it has been at least 10 years since I last wore a watch regularly -- and now I am wearing this one 24x7 (other than during showers/getting ready) and I'm sleeping in it happily 11) Screen quality and brightness is perfect, even for my imperfect, 46 year old eyes 12) The availability and selection of alternative watch bands and protective cases/covers has also been a positive 13) The daily briefings are great to review the day's events at the end of the day and to prepare me for the day ahead -- it really locks into my mind any action items or reminders that I need to note or meetings and deliverables for which I need to be especially mindful. 14) The gentle nudges reminding me to either take a quick stretch or get up and walk are funny enough to not be a "nag" but like a buddy saying "hey, cmon" -- and the investment in those timely interruptions really helps me to be more mentally focused for the whole workday Negatives: 1) On some screens/apps you can swipe or hit back, while on others you can only hit back to change levels. This inconsistency in the UI could be improved so that it is more intuitive. 2) I know that Bixby tries, but unfortunately, he's no Google Assistant or Alexa. I'm really rooting for you Bixby, because if I could USE MY WATCH AND SAY "Hey Bixby, take me to work/home/Carowinds" and navigation engage 100% while driving with no other required interaction -- or "Hey Bixby, call my wife/dad/mom" and the call engage 100% while driving with no other required interaction -- or "Hey Bixby, play something by Kari Jobe" while driving with no other required interaction -- or "Hey Bixby, where's my stuff -- or "Hey Bixby, open the Chickfila app" -- or any of the other things that I can trust to work 99.9% reliably from the other assistants that I use on my phone, I would be VERY HAPPY. But I can't. Haven't tried yet: 1) I haven't tried the cellular functionality yet and I've been using bluetooth and wifi. Having the ability to take calls and messages, etc. even when on a run without my phone is something that I'm looking forward to seeing whether it is worth the extra monthly cost in order to be "always connected" 2) Offline GPS tracking with Strava or UnderArmor apps 3) Google Voice Assistant apps (I'm hoping this could make up for Bixby's shortcomings) 4) Water Reminder (to remind me throughout the day if I haven't drank any water recently) 5) Voice Recorder (to record notes for later playback) Wish List: These are mainly because I have the cellular version and would love to have even more functionality when my watch is away from my phone: 1) Direct Google Maps integration: I know that Google is a competitor, but Google Maps is just as important in the mobile world today as MS Office has been in the business PC world. 2) A good project/task app that will allow me to flip through tasks in something like a Kanban view on the watch and change status of tasks on the watch, while managing the projects/tasks in detail on a phone app 3) Direct Citrix SecureMail Integration App, not just notifications from phone over Bluetooth 4) Direct Cisco Jabber Integration App, not just notifications from phone over Bluetooth ... show more

  • Good watch, didn't get what was pictured.
Great watch, but worth noting that I ordered the silver and it came with a black band, not the blue one pictured.

  • Buyers Beware!
Bought my 1st Galaxy watch Active 2 brand new & it was almost flawless. But I lost it while lake swimming (dont buy crappy watch bands!). In Aug '21, I bought this watch used from Digital Age USA & it was fine for for 2 months. But the last 2 weeks it randomly opens apps and acts like it's hijacked. When this happens the touch screen does not work and sometimes it won't even turn off to reboot it. Apparently it's outside it's outside of the return window so I'm stuck with a useless $ 200 watch. I'll never again buy from DIGITAL AGE USA and I do NOT recommend them!! ... show more

  • Very disappointed that Samsung does NOT honor their warranty.
The watch was great except for it's VERY POOR QUALITY. And worse, the warranty is NOT being honored. The back of the watch fell off after a few months of normal use. After that, the watch will NOT power up. Instead of honoring the warranty, the manufacturer (SAMSUNG) sent an email charging 219.79 for repair. ... show more

  • Good Depending On Expectaitons
I have had this watch, 40mm LTE, for about 10 days now. I purchased this so that I can track my daily runs & cycling and still have access to my phone, without lugging my phone around. The call and text aspect of the phone is great and accomplishes that part of my intentions. I tried 3 different fitness trackers, Strava, Endomondo and Samsung Health. For me, Samsung Health is the clear winner. Samsung Health is the only one that allows the screen to stay on while I am running and the font size an numerals are easy to read while running. The GPS seems to be very accurate on all of them when comparing to my old Suunto and Google Maps. The only downside is that the heart rate tracker is only accurate while being still. The heart rate is normally way off while I am running. When I am cycling, the heart rate is fairly accurate, because my arm is more still. I contacted Samsung support and they said that their is no chest strap option and the only way to get an accurate reading is to be still. Not what anyone wants with an activity tracker! So, if heart rate training is your thing, this is not your watch. Everything else, NFC, battery life etc is great. ... show more
