Like everyone else I read great reviews and simply awful reviews for this little freezer, but I decided to go ahead and give it a try - it met my size requierments and was a great price. I'm glad I did as I've had it now for two months as of tomorrow and have had no issues with it. It is not loud as many complained, albiet it is in the walk in closet that is part of my bedroom (but the door to the closet is always wide open so the kittens can get in there) I would hear it at night if it was noisy as my bed is near the closet. I've had no issues with frost forming, doors not sealing, difficulty setting the temperature, or anything else that I had read in the negative reviews. I have found it very straight-foward and easy to se-up and use. I bought this as I live in an apartment and unfortunately, even though there is room for a regular size refrigerator, I have a much smaller "apartment size" refridgerator and needed a lot more freezer space than it allows. I buy chicken and other products when they go on sale at a really good price,, divide, and freeze; same with vegetables. I also have never learned to cook for 1 or 2 and continue to cook for a family of 5 as that is how I learned to cook when I was in my early teens - I'm now 57, you would think I could have figured it out...so I tend to freeze a lot of foods that I know freeze well in single portions for later meals. Many people have give this freezer low reviews for silly reasons; the box was torn, there was a small scratch on the back of the freezer, etc. A torn box has nothing to do with how the freezer operates. A lot of times in the same review the speak of contacting the company and the company has made things right. So why the negative review? Those are the ones you have to watch out for and not take to heart...I suppose they just need something to gripe about or were just in a bad mood or something. I would recommend this freezer to anyone who is looking for some extra freezer room. Yes, you can get more room by getting a chest freezer in the same 3.0cf, but then it's hard to know what's in there {trust me - I used to have to keep a clipboard with the freezer when I had a 3.0cf chest freezer as things always ended up on the bottom so I didn't know what was there anymore. I had to write down things as I added them to the freezer and mark things off as I took them out. It was not the greatest system.} The upright freezer is so much easier to use and even though you might lose a little bit of room, it's well worth it as you know what it in there at any given time because there is a lot less "digging" involved; actually almost none...and you don't lose items at the bottom of the freezer that end up going to waste because they've lay in the bottom of the freezer for so long they are completely freezer burned. So, yes. Buy this freezer. I highly recommend it. Would give it an additional star, but it's not allowed. ... show more

We needed a little extra room for frozen foods and decided to go this route. It was easy to unpack and set up, did it by myself no problems. Once it was set is has been running great, 4 weeks now. I can hear it doing it's thing, but the instructions that came with said that it may be loud enough to hear and that is perfectly normal. I do not hear it all the time, just when it's quiet in the area. We could always move it to another room or the garage, but the noise is not that bad to warrant. The size inside is perfect and the shelves allow for us to separate food types or by use. ... show more

Who hasn't needed just a little extra freezer space from time to time, especially during the pandemic? But we also didn't want a larger chest freezer so when we saw this form factor and Kismile's reviews we went for it. Overall, it's performing to our expectations and is a great value for the price. It cooled down quickly, holds the temperature steady, it's very quiet and the size is just right. The only negative, which is the reason I docked one star, is the top coils quickly developed frost near the door seals. I had read other reviews mentioning the same, and one specifically attributed to the door seals and how they added a rolled up plastic bag to improve the seal, I'll have to try that but wish I didn't need to, it should be a solved problem in the 21st century.
