  • Excellent Bluetooth Speakers
These speakers Rock! Great depth of sound, bass and clarity! No remote but no nonsense. Bluetooth is easy, press and hold button in the back to put into pair mode. So far they have paired well with many devices, old and new, easily! I love that I can have stereo sound sent to them over Bluetooth, reducing the wires in the house. Only one pair of wires go between the two speakers, and you plug the main one into a wall outlet. Very nice bass and treble controls, as well as a volume control. All turn easily but not too easily, just right. There are many jacks for line in and Mic, as well as headphones! Very expensive feel to these, yet they are affordable! ... show more

  • I love these little guys
I'm not an "audiophile" nor do I do recording. But I'm a bit snobby and pretty picky. I hate that most speakers and headphones accentuate bass or treble too much and I miss my mids. I had a pair of Edirol (Roland) monitors that I loved but they died and are no longer made, so I ended up going with these. I waited a while to post this review. I think I've had them 6 months or so. Sometimes initial impressions don't pan out, and practicality takes time to judge. I love these speakers more than my old ones. Very flat response to my ears. As close to my ATH-M50 headphones as I imagine I'd ever get w/ bookshelf sized speakers. High hats come through great, bass is very reasonable, and the midrange tones aren't washed out. Working from home for COVID, they've been pushed into duty as my primary computer speakers and do really well at that too. Going from video conferencing to listening to music doesn't require software EQ changes for either. I didn't think the Bluetooth would be handy, but I've used it a lot with my phone to play music and later paired an Alexa with it. I handles the computer being plugged in and the multiple bluetooth devices without any hastle. And the audio quality via Bluetooth sounds fine to me, unlike any headphones I've tried (I probably just haven't been willing to spend enough there). If you want booming bass, then these are probably not for you. You'll need bigger woofers or a sub. But I listen to a wide variety of music, and it all sounds right to me. It's not so much that I ever think "wow, these sound so great," it's that I never cringe thinking they sound wrong. I'm an "album guy" from being a kid with records, tapes, and CDs. I've listened to a lot that I have memorized through these. These are albums where when the gap between songs is off from the original media I have a moment of confusion, I couldn't listen to MP3s of in the early 2000's because they sounded "wrong", or I haven't been able to tolerate on road trips because the car stereo + highway noise kills the mid range. This is a list of some albums I had ingrained in my head before I got these and have enjoyed through them. Because I am an omnivore, one or more might be relevant to you: - Booker T. and The MG's discography - Can's "Tago Mago" and "Ege Bamyasi" - Gojira's "Magma" - Husker Du's "Zen Arcade" and "New Day Rising" - Johnny Cash's prison albums - Kendrick Lemar's discography - Kraftwerk's "Autobahn" and "Trans-Europe Express" - Massive Attack through Mezzanine - Meat Puppets II - Metallica through the "Black Album" - Nirvana's discography - Pavement's discography - Portishead's original albums - Slint's "Spiderland" - Stevie Wonder's "Talking Book" through "Songs in the Key of Life" - Talking Head's first three albums and "Stop Making Sense" - Television's "Marquee Moon" - The Beatles' discography - Wu-Tang's "36 Chambers" and the GZA's "Liquid Swords" - Yes's "Fragile" These little speakers met my expectations in audio quality for the bookshelf size, and exceeded my expectations for ease of use with multiple inputs. Months later, I am very happy with a purchase I was very nervous about. ... show more

  • Perfect replacement speakers for my wife's computer
These speakers have really impressive sound despite having tiny 3.5 inch woofers. My wife is very happy now that she can watch videos on her computer. Self powered speakers with bluetooth connectivity made these the easy choice. Installation was easy as it gets. Plug them in, hit the bind button on the speakers, and let your computer find them using the "add a bluetooth device" option in your task bar. After I'd placed them on her desk, I'd say it took a total of 3 minutes to get these connected to the computer and making sound. Don't expect these to produce the kind of bass you'd expect to hear coming from your car stereo or a powered subwoofer, they're not that, but you can expect a perfectly acceptable full range sound that will fill a room and not leave you disappointed. ... show more

  • Nice for your desk or office.
These speakers work perfect in my small work office. They have enough punch to get your motor running but work well at low volumes too. I have them hooked to my laptop over Bluetooth and even use them when on Zoom calls. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a small footprint with quality sound. The only con I have is that they can get a little rattle on the low end at higher volumes. ... show more

  • Cristal-clear sound
I am using these speakers for my desktop computer so that I can listen to music and get good quality sound. Sure, these are near field speakers, so they don't have the projection and bass volume that you get from a big speaker set. However, they are more than satisfying when sitting close to the screen at a desk. In fact, they create a really nice, differentiated auditory field. They don't produce an acoustic mush like so many computer speakers do. You can hear every instrument and each note distinctly and clearly. For instance, I listened to some cello music and the cello sound was really true and distinct in all ranges. Cello is an instrument that sounds quickly really poor on a suboptimal speaker set. The same is true for classical guitar. Here, too, the speakers produce clear, true sound. They have minimal inherent noise, so there's no static or hissing. They don't perform well at full volume, which is unsurprising, given the small diameter of the speakers. However, they are loud enough that even 75% of their possible volume is too loud. And at 75%, they still deliver undistorted sound. And most of the time, I am listening to music at about 30%. Given their friendly price tag, I am more than pleasantly surprised about the high quality of these speakers! ... show more

  • Best Monitor Speaker for the money...But know this first!
This is most likely the absolute best pair of monitor speakers that you are going to find for under $200. The setup is simple and the sound is excellent for desk level type use. With that being said, I decided I wanted to add the Iris Sub 8 and ran into a snag. You cannot directly connect the Presonus 3.5BT speakers to the Iris Sub 8. You will require a bluetooth controller to accomplish that feat. I purchased the Presonus MicroStation and a couple of pair of balanced TRS cables. Once I connected the TRS cables from the Main Out on the Microstation BT to the TRS inputs on the 3.5BT speaker, and one TRS cable from the Microstation BT to the Iris Sub 8 (top right on the BT to the left input on the inout side of the Iris Sub 8. I then went into my settings and connected to the Microstation BT after pressing the pair button. I could view it immediately and it definitely sounds much better with the subwoofer. ... show more
