This is a neat device. It works well to block the sun for the rear 3/4ths of the window (6 inches from top), but it is open in the front for safety & visibility which lets the sun come in from that angle. It falls every time I open the window. The last time it almost ended up outside my car. I keep forgetting that it's there. I am sure it will get sucked out and lost one of these days. We recently went on a 3000 mile road trip and the sun was scorching the entire time. We bought a set of these shades (solid black, not just tinted) on a whim a couple days before departing, not really expecting much from them, and when they arrived we got even more skeptical. They are very thin and flimsy and not at all what we expected. But once we got on the road and the sun was relentless they proved to be absolutely indispensable and irreplaceable. We used them throughout the whole journey and they never failed or fell off/slipped off the window once. Super easy to wedge between the window and the window frame and easy to move around to where they are most needed depending on where the sun is. We're getting another set for our other car as well.
