  • Works as an entry-level road bike, tires aren't great
Style: Tourney Al Size: Medium
Assembly wasn't too difficult, it took about an hour and didn't require anything complex or significant adjustment of gears (for me at least). After a few hundred miles I have enjoyed the riding and while it isn't anything fancy (aluminum frame, pad brakes etc) it does shift gears pretty well and isn't so heavy. I did not like the tires that came with it however - they gave me tons of flats consistently on my normal routes. After going through about 5 tubes in a row, swapping out for sturdier tires was necessary for me to stop the flats, adding to the wheel weight. ... show more

  • Okay bike until you add the miles
Style: Al Claris Size: Large
This is an okay bike for the price. No it’s not a carbon fiber but the frame is not that heavy. I had a triathlon trek Hilo 2000 that was very fast and responsive but doesn’t do as well as this on the climbs. I live in TN so most of my country roads have 15-30% elevation grades. Gears are good enough to climb. I have put 500 miles on this bike so far. Only thing I would recommend is having a mechanic put it together if you are not mechanically Inclined. I had to adjusts the gears and on rough roads, these gears need constant adjusting after rides. It’s worth learning but could really put a damper on things if you don’t know what you're doing. Yes you have to put the tape on the handle bars; which was great for me as I like to adjust the outer cables to my liking. Lastly, tires are one of the thickest, heaviest tires I have seen on a road bike. I changed over to continentals 5000 and my speed was WAY better. Not an upgrade to an expert rider. Update: save your money. 300 miles my chain broke. No big deal. Less than 1,000 miles my back tire bent laterally and could not get back true. I weigh 155. 1500 miles in I start having drivetrain issues. My fourth cog on the cassette is bent and keeps switching to other gears. Everything on this bike is cheap. Save or buy something older. ... show more

  • flat tire in 3 days, replacement inner tube came fast
Style: Tourney Al Size: Large
My front tire went flat in 3 days. Called up and they sent me a new tube. Installed it without too much difficulty. Tire holds air now. Also and as I found out when dissembling the front wheel, the original inner tube failed at a seam, not a puncture from a spoke. Found no spokes protruding through the rim. As to ride, the bike has a nice lightness. It seems easier to peddle than my old one. The low gear is welcome on up hill climbs. Gear shifting is smooth. Occasionally got off gear. Once had to replace chain on gear. I guess the assembly could use some tuning. ... show more

  • Defective Rims
Style: Tourney Al Size: Small
I gave this bike a ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Only because it came in super quick and was easy to figure out. Until … I rode this bike about 1.5 miles the first evening to make sure everything was set before going on my normal 12 mile daily morning ride. When I got ready to ride the next morning I had a flat. Long story short 2 more flats later I see that both rims have the spokes sticking through and puncturing the tube. I call customer service and stay on hold for over 10 minutes and finally hang up. I need both rims and tubes replaced. No solution yet. We will see what happens. Also I’ve yet to ride the bike again bc I have two flat tires. IM VERY FRUSTRATED!! This bike cost too much to sit in the garage with flats that are clearly a defect. HELP ... show more

  • Am I enjoying this thing!
Style: Tourney Al Size: Small
I think I got a great deal on this bike. The model has probably been discontinued. But I love it. I have never had a bike like this and it took me a while to figure out how to adjust it but I think I got it (thank God for YouTube!). I'm having the time of my life with it. I'm in shape but not for bike riding and can only do 10 to 12 miles at a time. And I enjoy every minute of it! ... show more

  • Good beginners bike, but don’t better options can be found.
Style: Tourney Al Size: Medium
Good- easy to assemble, 90 % pre assembled, relatively light, well engineered, fast, comfy stock seat strictly for short distances, overall a good beginner bike Bad- gear system is primitive could be better - changes automatically when in middle order gears, seats are tight, padded shorts helps.

  • New to the sport
Style: Fastback 2 Size: Extra-Large
Bike came double boxed and well packed with foam covering anything that could have been damaged. Shipped quickly too. Easy to put together. Everyone seems to knock the Schwinn brand but would have paid double or more for same specs on a trendy brand. Just getting into riding so this works great now and should give me some room to grow...Lost a star due to the bar tape not being the “Schwinn double bar gel tape” ... show more
