I stayed at a family member’s house for a month to care for her while on hospice care. I have a middle-aged back that doesn’t like extended periods of couch sleeping. This product was a good alternative to the couch. It folded up nicely during the day and didn’t take up a lot of extra room. It is very firm and I had to purchase a separate memory foam mattress topper for it. With the added mattress topper it was more comfortable than I expected it to be. Received my 4-in-1 chair today.. The concept of having a chair, lounger, ottman and a bed all in one fits a small space really well. I wished the packaging was a little better. The chair came wet on one edge and there's a small tear on one side. Both problems I can live with. The only other problem is the back rest is short.. ... show more

    • Lock-in Feature doesn't work on one of the bars
I paid extra for the version with the lock-in bars. The bottom one locks as it's suppose to, but the one at the head does not. It is suppose to, but no matter what it doesn't. Upset that I paid the extra for this feature and only 50% of it works. Overall, it's nice looking, comfortable, and a great size. ... show more

Love this and it's perfect for those quick little 'twin' type beds for a guest. I keep it in my craft room just for that. The sad part is I never got the pillow it shows with it. I never got a response from anyone about it but I do love it, regardless.

Buying online can be a hit and miss but this purchase was a hit. I selected the velvet grayish/blue ottoman. Compared to other sellers, it was more expensive but what you get is a good warranty (not sure if I will need to use it). If you include shipping cost on the other vender sites you might be close to even in cost. Okay...the product is easy to setup. I just took all the packaging stuff off of it and configured the ottoman to the various options (chair, lounger, bed and ottoman). No screws, Allen wrench or hammers needed. Perfect for my space and is comfortable. The cushion does lean on the firm side as others mention; a cushy mattress topper on it can resolve the firmness. The ottoman has a sturdy frame. The velvet material feels good, looks good and I hope to get good use from it. Con but not really....I wish it was a little higher off the ground but I guess it wouldn't work well as an ottoman. ... show more

Out of the box it's pretty easy to unfold it into it's various configurations. It was VERY firm to sleep on directly - probably not comfortable as-is - but we bought a single (twin) memory foam topper, which made it very comfortable. Opened to a flat bed configuration, it's just a tiny bit smaller than a regular twin bed an adult fits comfortably, although a tall person might not fit. Fitted sheet fits well (especially with the addition on the topper). Top sheet and blanket were a little long at the bottom, so we put clips on the end corners and bungeed the clips underneath to ensure our guest didn't get tangled up in them if getting up in the middle of the night. (Because of the design, there is no ability to tuck the bottom of the top sheet and blanket, but the clip and bungee thing worked!) Also, there was an issue with keeping the "leg" at the head of the bed from collapsing with movement of the bed. We overcame this problem with a metal rod (or wood would also work), which fit tightly between the leg for the head of the bed and the ottoman leg to prevent any chance of collapse. We purchased this because we wanted the capability of allowing a friend to sleep over, should the need arise, but wanted to use a very small guest room as a craft room and didn't want to fill the room with a standard twin bed which might only be used once or twice a year. With the added topper and the "security" rod, the ottoman/bed fits the bill. It's easy to convert from ottoman to lounge seat to bed and back with easy-to-follow directions. Once we did it a couple of times, we don't need the directions any more. The gray material looks nice as an ottoman or lounge and the frame is sturdy (except for the head of the bed being prone to collapse - that could use something to secure it.) Anyway, if you're up for dealing with the 2 issues mentioned (head of bed leg and extra firmness of sleeping surface), especially if space is at a premium, this may work for you.
