    • Minimalist Design and Easy to Assemble

I was using a folding table for my desk until I could find what I wanted for my large tower computer and two monitors. Of course, the tower would sit on the floor and I wanted room for the keyboard, mouse and space for temporary items such as a notepad, coffee cup or dish. I decided on this Corner Computer Desk due to the minimalist design with full use of a corner space. Cons 1. Not really a con but a preference that the longer side of the desk be maybe 6" wider for more surface space. I have two 21 1/2" monitors and I feel a little too close to them and not much surface area for more than a keyboard and mouse. I'm going to add a slide underneath tray for the keyboard and mouse. 2. Desk shelf needs to be redesigned to add more stability. I'm not afraid that a small monitor or laptop would fall from it but it is pretty wobbly. 3. The surface is a fingerprint magnet nightmare. I got the black one and whenever I touch this desk I leave visible fingerprints that triggers my OCD. Also make sure you dust everything off before placing it on the desk. Pros 1. Very straight forward assembly with easy to follow instructions. I added a few Velcro strips along the way for cable management. 2. Sits very sturdy on hardwood floor, didn't have to adjust the feet at all to level just screwed them all the way in and when I flipped it over it was perfect. 3. Very good use of corner space and plenty of legroom 4. Fingerprints wipe off easily with a dry cloth. 5. Reversable so the longer surface can be assembled on either side. 6. Esthetically pleasing with a modern design. Summary Would prefer a wider surface area but with adding a keyboard drawer I feel it will meet my needs. A very sturdy design, with the exception of the shelf. Good use of corner space with plenty of legroom and a modern design. Very nice desk for the price and could be used for gaming, a home office, computer desk with writing space. I plan to use it for a computer desk for my main computer on the long side with space on the short side to experiment with installing alternate OS on older laptops. I rarely ever write reviews but I had to for this desk. The desk is not exactly bad, the build seems reasonable for the price and the finish is nice. The monitor stand is a little bit wobbly but the desk itself is pretty solid. The biggest issue that has left me wanting to burn the desk to the ground a few times is that in the middle "corner" of the desk there are two metal supports that will DESTROY your knees if you scoot into the desk in any direction other than exactly in the center of the two sides. I generally like to sit in the corner of the desk with all of my stuff around me to the left and right and it just is not possible with the way this desk is designed. UPDATE: Shortly after I made my purchase and wrote the review above a rep from Mr. Ironstone reached out to me to apologize for the issues that I have experienced. They offered two solutions to my issue, the first was a full refund and the second was an offer to send me the larger version of the desk which has a different support structure under the desk at no cost. I chose to accept the larger version of the desk as I still needed a desk since the other one was not really what i was looking for. The new desk is SO MUCH better!! If you are someone who likes to sit in the corner of the desk and not either on the left or right side of the desk then you need to buy the 59" version of the desk from MR. IRONSTONE. Its a little bit deeper of a desk, which I didn't know I needed at the time, but the leg/knee room is so much better and allows you to sit comfortably in the corner.
