  • I wanted to like this
My manual chopper of 10 years stopped working as the blades got very dull... Time for a new one... Thought it would be nice to replace it with an electric chopper... Read reviews for this product... On several websites, it was listed as one of the top 10 choppers... Was excited to receive it because I have a half dozen large Hatch Chile Peppers that I wanted to dice, then freeze... For starters, I couldn't get the lid off... I tried for 30 minutes; even putting it in a bowl of hot water, thinking it would help to loosen it, but it didn't... I then asked a question about how to remove a stuck lid, and J. Newingham was kind enough to suggest trying to lift it off instead of twisting it off... I got out a screw driver and was able to pry the lid off... Now, to use it... The blade was in the machine... I filled the canister about 1/3 of of the way with cut-up Peppers, then placed the whisk attachment on top of the food, as shown in the pictures that other reviews have posted... I placed the lid back on, LOOSELY, then put the motor on top, and pressed down... Half of the Peppers ended up on top of the whisk... When I went to remove the lid to take out the Peppers that were on top and remove the contents below, I had to use the screw driver to pry the lid off as it was stuck once again, and my Peppers were not diced but rather pureed... That is actually okay, for I'm freezing the Peppers, but would rather have had them diced... I really wanted to like this product, but found that the hassle and mess it created in my kitchen was not worth it... ... show more

  • Improved version is a quiet powerful chopper
This is an updated review. The new version of this chopper has a higher quality plastic bowl (instead of the flimsy problematic plastic in the original version). Compared to our old KitchenAid chopper, it is much quieter and has a much more powerful motor and bigger bowl - it easily chopped half of a large onion. It is almost eerie quiet, which is good. We did find that it did not chop quite as finely as our KitchenAid; I think this is because the bottom chopping blade is not as close to the bottom of the bowl as it could be. If it chopped finer I would give it a 5-star review. In my original review, I complained that most of the parsley ended up un-chopped above the "separator" - my mistake as the separator should have been removed, but it is not obvious that it is removable. (Not sure why you would ever want it.) Given its powerful and quiet motor, this is a good value that will server most cooks very well. ... show more

  • Compact and powerful, easy to store
The thing I like most is this food chopper is easy to store -- takes up way less space than my big food processor. It does the job fine and is easy to disassemble and clean. Has plenty of power for small jobs like chopping carrots or making salsa. Removing the lid takes a bit of effort if you put it on too tightly, so keep that in mind. ... show more

  • Did not work well for me
I wanted a small blender to blend chillis and onions and bought this based on the reviews and the videos. However, no matter how many times I tried, the blender just would not blend the ingredients. Getting the top off was also quite a production and ended up with a messy counter. I took out all the ingredients and ended up putting them into my regular big blender. So disappointed. ... show more

  • Worst Food Processor Ever!
I bought this because I like the compact size for storage since I'm temporarily living in an RV until I can rebuild a home after a wildfire. I tried to make a vegan "cream cheese" with cashews soaked overnight plus coconut oil and added blueberries. This food processor struggled to blend more than a Tbsp of cashews at a time. The lid has now grips to easily pop off in between batches either. I ended up having to tap the plastic on the counter to get the lid off and a piece of plastic broke off on the base! I ended up using a $10 walmart personal blender to finish my recipe and it got done 10x faster and more efficiently. Save your money; this product is nothing but a headache! ... show more

  • I sent it back day one
I purchased this to replace a decades old mini chopper. This one is a nice size. The problem is it’s inefficient. It doesn’t work well. It doesn’t chop it mushes. I tried to chop celery it mangled it. I didn’t over fill or anything. It’s a poorly made product.

  • Great addition to my plant based life style
I purchased this product to be of some assistance to me with my plant based diet and I absolutely love how well this chops! I decided to process some black seed and grape seed oil to make my own black seed oil and this chopped the seeds down super fine. I love the turbo button. In the process of making this oil, it was instructed to process for 5 minutes at a time. The machine got a little warm, as expected... but I am happy with my result. ... show more
