Yes, she's a rescue, and no, I didn't choose the name - when we got her she came to it so well we didn't want to change it. Anyway, about the collar - our dogs are super active and these collars are holding up beautifully! The quick release is super important and works when you need it to but doesn't come apart during playtime with other dogs. The ring to attach a leash is sturdy. I like that once I adjusted them for fit, the adjustment stayed put. I have had other collars that loosened and Harriet's head was able to slide out of the collar. My dog has worn this collar for about 6 months. This is his first collar and I think it's held up pretty well for a puppy. I bought the royal blue color and it's getting a little dirty but I haven't tried to wash it yet. The neoprene is split on the inside so sometimes it rolls over the collar, but I guess I could just cut it off. The buckle is sturdy, as well as the D ring. It's held up well on walks, he's a puller sometimes and is about 50 lbs. It's a good collar for the price. It's a nice width on my dogs neck. The only thing that is weird is that my dogs hair sticks to the inside when he sheds, so the inside of the collar is covered in loose hairs. I don't know if that would be a problem with long haired dogs, but short hairs seem to stick like Velcro. I would buy another collar, as well as the matching leash. I like that there isn't any big logos. Just a nice plain collar. ... show more

I bought two of these for two of my boys that needed new collars. The price is really great, so I was a little skeptical, but they come with a comfort band on the inside with cushioning and the outside has two lines of reflection. I wasn't sure how well the reflection worked until I went out in the yard last night (we have a very large yard) looking for our youngest and newest little guy to bring him in. It was really dark because a storm was rolling in, but I saw the collar long before I saw him and he has white fur! I was very impressed. ... show more

This is a nice quality collar both in the material for the collar and the plastic for the clip that secures it on. It has a nice padding type material for the part that touches the dogs neck. The light blue/teal is a great color on our black dog.

Just got one of these for my pup and it’s Both sturdy the fabric and stitching is dense and well made. Also the width of the collar is a good 1inch so it feels safe around my pups neck. A lot of room for adjustment as well. Highly recommend!!

I love how these collars are reflective. Not the best for a long hair dog, but it is SUPER sturdy. I have a husky and a German shepherd mix who play really rough with each other. A lot of collars we had usually loosen when they play, these haven’t! I have loved this collar for them!
