  • Perfect compliment for a first big kid bed
Color: Espresso
We fell into the trap of a “convertible crib” set when we had our first baby. Listen, it happens to lots and lots of us- those bright eyed soon to be parents that, a. Don’t realize that the convertible bed is a full sized headboard requiring a full bed (which is massive for a toddler) and b. Are the same parents that can’t fully understand how such a tiny human can fully damage so many sides of said crib. (I mean really, how is this possible?) We bought a simple metal frame for his awesome big boy bed, and it was terrible. We purchased this bed to replace the other one primarily because the color seemed to match the existing “set”. SCORE! This little bed frame came perfectly packaged, easy to assemble, and is literally just excellent for our busy toddler. The coloring is a complete match, the frame is sturdy and as I mentioned easy to assemble. I believe it took about 35 minutes start to finish. The aspect we love is that the slats screw into the frame resulting in that extra sturdy feel without a box spring. We couldn’t be happier with this bed frame. ... show more

  • Great value
Color: Espresso
Just finished building this bed. It is a great value at a little over one hundred dollars. It was not hard to put together at all. If you buy this, just be careful when installing the rails, make sure to have a philips head handy to keep the barrel nuts inline. I would also add a drop of glue to each dowel, not required but I like the idea of extra stiffness. Total time for assembly was 20 minutes. All the wood was solid. I bought this for an eleven year old child. Aug 2018 ... show more

  • Broke as soon as I sat on it
Color: Espresso
We got one of these each for our kids, one in espresso and one in white after we moved and had to leave their last similar bed (discontinued from Ikea) behind. We figured it would be like the IKEA bed since it very similar in construction. Nope. We put his together (which was very fast and easy) and I sat down on it for the first time, which I used to do all the time with his old bed, and one of the slats broke in half and the part of the frame it attaches to completely snapped off with it. And I am well under the maximum weight for this. With this only having 7 cross slats to distribute all the weight on it, it does NOT stand up to any kind of weight on it. We learned our lesson and put a flat piece of particle board under our daughter's mattress to hopefully save the slats and I won't be cuddling her while reading bedtime stories. I am very disappointed, I expected this bed to last slightly longer than my self esteem did when I sat on it and immediately broke it. ... show more

  • Great Bed Especially for the Price
Color: Espresso
Received bed quickly. Opened box, nothing was damaged, all pieces and hardware were present. Instructions stated assembly time was about 45 minutes. I put this together, by myself, in about 35 minutes, instructions were clear and easy to understand and included pictures. I bought this for my almost 4 year old child. He loves it, seems like it will last quite a while and the style will transition with him seamlessly. I bought a 6 inch mattress since I bought this for a child that needs a lower bed. If I was buying this for an older child or adult, I'd recommend a much, much thicker mattress as to bring the height of the bed up to a "normal height". I will buy a thicker mattress for the bed when my child gets bigger. ... show more

  • Simple to set up.
Took me 50 min to set up. Constructing thes bed was ver simple. The instructions were simple. The wood seems durable. The bed is nice and low so that my 2 1/2 yr old claims in just fine.

  • Beautiful, sturdy and easy to assemble bed!
Color: Espresso
I brought this bed for my 8 and a half year old son and I am very pleased with this purchase! I am a woman who assembles furniture herself and this bed was easy to assemble as the instructions were clear. A customer who wrote a review suggested using a Philip's head screwdriver to hold the cam nuts in place while screwing in the nails in the side rails....that was helpful advice as the cam nuts tend to move as you screw in the nails on the side rails The bed is beautiful and sturdy. I have slept with him and the combo weight of us together is 207 lbs. I used wood glue on each end of the wooden slats before screwing the nails in to ensure that the 7 slats would be extra secure. We're using a bunkie board as a base and on top of the wooden slats for his 12 inch memory foam mattress in place of a boxspring to keep the bed low-profile. I recommend this bed for children and as a bed for adults in a guest bedroom. ... show more

  • No more shin ouchies.
I have bought many twin kid beds over the years and finally, I found a favorite to recommend to others. I love the height of this bed. Its very low to the ground, but still high enough to fit storage underneath. For some reason when beds sit higher, we always bang our shins on the side when climbing in bed. This bed doesn’t have that problem. We like that it’s sturdy and stylish and light enough to move around if needed. ... show more

  • Good instructions for assembly
Color: Espresso
Good instructions for assembly. Fairly easy to assemble. Seem sturdy for an over 200 lb er. Have been on them for couple months and they are still solid when you move around on them.
