My 12 year old daughter got this with her own money and waited for 2 weeks to get it. When it arrived, it kept beeping at her for no apparent reason, and it would start going backwards when she would ride it. She was in tears when it was not working. She charged the battery when it was almost fully discharged and and it indicated that it was fully charged. However, when she tried to ride it, it shut down and would not turn back on. The media could not be loaded. My first ever hooverboard purchase. I saw lot of people ride this before and was afraid to try until now. My first impression of it was pretty heavy and looks like a quality product. I was hesitated at first trying to get on it, afraid of falling but after about 10 minutes, i was getting a handle of it. It was really fun. Let my coworkers tried it and they liked it too, he learn how to ride it in love 5 minutes and loved it too. Beside that, this thing also has a built in bluetooth speaker, you can stream music and play on it while riding, i thought that's a great idea. The LED lights on the wheel are very colorful and fun, help you kinda see around if you're riding in the dark. The electric-blue color really pops, and the lights just add to the effect! My 10-year old grandson was easily able to balance and ride the hoverboard from his first attempts, and it was his favorite birthday gift! I bought two hoverboards for my daughters and they really enjoyed riding them. However longevity of the products is a serious concern. Both hoverboards are dead after roughly 5 months. Contacted the seller who recommended to fix them on my own. It seems warranty is only good for 3 months. For those interested in buying, I sincerely recommend you to buy the insurance or return them within 3 months of purchase for full refund. I am now left with junk of $240. ... show more

I purchased it 31 days ago and the seller has 3 month warranty listed in the description but there’s no way to contact them and Amazon says return period is over. I bought this for my daughters 4th birthday and she loves it! She caught on quick too! Highly recommend. My only complaint is the battery life is alright and after a day with her on it there’s this little noise in one of the wheels like a screw or piece of plastic popping around in there. She keeps it plugged in when not in use but I’ve seen her use it for at least an hour without a charge and uses it literally every day.
