I just got these today, so this isn't a proper review, but I wanted to share some details I would have liked to have known before purchasing. PLASTIC: #5 Polypropylene SHAPE: Not comfortably reversible. If you flip these around so that the spout points towards your body, there is a convex curve to the bottle that makes it uncomfortable against you. But when I use them with the spouts pointing out, they tend to hit my arms as I walk. Being able to reverse these would prevent that. Granted, I got these for another brand running belt, but similar setup. POSITIVE FEEDBACK: Out of the gate, they seem to have a lot less of a plastic smell/taste than the ubiquitous *clear with a black top* bottles you see with most of the running belts. USAGE: These are awkward to drink out of, but maybe I'd get used to it eventually. You can't quite squeeze it and you can't quite draw properly through the spout, and also it sometimes closes on you. I purchased these bottles because the ones that came with my belt fell into the hands, or mouth, of my puppy. I’m glad I did. What can you say about a bottle? Well, it holds water, cap screws on securely, but the best thing about it is the top opens up very easily to allow you to drink, which isn’t always the case with bottles designed for run belts. Also the ergonomics, it feels very comfortable in your hands. Wide mouth makes it easy to clean. Overall great bottle. These water bottles worked as a replacement for two Nathan water bottles I had purchased with a belt several years ago. The old Nathan bottle tops had begun to leak when I ran, so I needed a replacement to keep my butt dry while running. These work perfectly, at least so far. They fit my older model Nathan belt perfectly and I like the extra ounces they offer over many other water bottles from different brands. In addition, these newer Nathan water bottles have a softer top instead of a hard plastic one, which makes drinking from them while on the run more pleasant as they don't jar against your teeth or gums. I've noticed many reviewers have indicated having problems with springing leaks with these bottles along the seems, so I'll hold off on the fifth star until I've been using them for more than two weeks. So far, these have been a great replacement! UPDATE: I've had these and have been using them regularly since July of 2016 (almost 1 year) without any problems. No leaks, the tops are still in great shape and they have held up perfectly. Highly recommend these flasks! ... show more

These were a replacement for the original flasks that came with my Nathan fuel belt. Sadly one of them sprung a leak right before a race. The caps can be a little fussy. If you don't get them on just right they will leak. I do like that the opening if fairly good sized and easy to drink from. Happy that replacement flasks are available since I like the fuel belt and are curved to fit comfortable around your hips. I gave them 4 stars instead of five since the cap requires a little attention to get it on right and for the fact that my original flask developed a pin-hole sized leak for no apparent reason. ... show more

I have tried several different brands of bottles for my running/walking workouts in the hot Arizona summer. Nothing has compared to the quality of these. They are easy to drink out of, unlike others that push back down as you're trying to drink out of them. The opening of the bottle is wide enough to put ice cubes in, also making it easy to clean. I have used my Trail Mix belt for thousands of miles over a period of about 5 years and just had to replace the original bottles in the past few months when the edges started getting small holes that leaked. I run with these in all kinds of weather, including 90+ degrees F and below 0 degrees. I've had water freeze in them over and over and dropped them occasionally when running. 4 stars bc they don’t last that long. I use them probably 3-5 times per week, and before a year, they split at the seam along the bottom and start to leak. Shame on me, I guess, for continuing to buy them, but they do the job ... if not for as long as I’d like.

I compete in ultra trail races which requires a solid fueling strategy. One of the aspects of mine is a Super Starch, Electrolyte and MCT Oil blend which can be particularly messy if not in the proper container. These flasks are easy to mix in, drink from, they're durable, lightweight and never leak..even with all the jarring around that happens while you are running down a mountain. After they passed the test of trail running I decided to bring them along on a long grueling backpacking trip in the Adirondacks where they proved to be very useful.
