  • Greatest Controller of All Time
Color: Black Size: Controller Style: Wolverine V2 Chroma
This is the best feeling, most ergonomic controller of all time. The overall handling is reminiscent of an Xbox 360 controller, which felt really good. The handles have a rubber coating which feels great. I like the overall size and am partial to bigger controllers. The thumbsticks have a nice comfortable rubber coating that isn’t too sticky or too hard. The D Pad is large and has a really nice click when pressed. Although it’s a hard plastic and it’s concave at the same time so it doesn’t feel good to use the middle part of your thumb for the left and down side of the D Pad. You have to get used to using the tip of your thumb for everything. If Razer would’ve coated the D Pad in rubber this wouldn’t have been an issue. The lightning is really nice and bounces off your hands creating a nice glow. The controller is light because there’s no battery so it’s easy to hold. The back paddles are great because you can lay the controller on your leg and they won’t be pressed. You don’t have to treat this thing like an egg, always worrying where you’re going to set this down so the paddles don’t get pressed, like another big name controller. The USB-C port is really wobbly, however. You need to find a light USB-C cable that carries both data and power. Most light cables only carry power. The cable it comes with is a little heavy but it has a large head at the USB-C tip so it won’t wobble. Any other cable will wobble like crazy. I’m thinking the cable for the Elite 2 would work best because it’s light and Carrie’s data but I can’t find mine. Right now I’m using the default cable and it’s working fine. I predict this won’t last long though because the USB-C port itself is so wobbly for the actual USB-C part. I’m not returning this though because the controller itself is the most comfortable controller I ever held. There’s always a catch with Razer and that comes with the territory. The vibration is pretty good but nothing crazy like the DualSense. I got this because I’m a bit of a Razer fan and to me the positives outweigh the negatives. Buying this controller is like getting married to a celebrity. You know it won’t last long, but the time together will be amazing. ... show more

  • Improved design and my favorite controller by far. The Best controller I've ever owned.
Color: Black Size: Controller Style: Wolverine V2
At the bottom will be the pros and cons if you want to skip to that. They got rid of the buttons on the back from the first version, which is great for me. The wildcat was one of my favorite controllers, and I did like having the option to add the buttons on the back if I wanted to. But, I found the buttons on the back to be a tad excessive in the end. With the Razer Wolverine V2 you get the extra bumpers without the nuisance of anything getting in the way of your grip. The material they used around the grips makes it easy to hold the controller firmly. It felt awkward at first due to the grips formation, but quickly got over that. 0 drift on the controller even when I removed the dead zones. This is a hard quality to find, no matter the controller from my experience. If you are looking to buy a controller I would highly recommend. Pros (Based on my personal preferences) -0 drift, buttons feel great and responsive. (Not sure if I got lucky with the 0 drift on the joysticks. Haven't seen any complaints about it yet.) -Comfortable, and the grips make it easy to hold the controller firmly. (I really like the material they used) -They removed the buttons on the back of the controller used in the previous versions. Liked the option to have them at first, but in the end I found them to be a tad excessive. -Best controller for the price. (PowerA's fusion pro controller would be a close 2nd for $80, but it falls short in my opinion. It's not a bad option though if you like the elite's paddle style.) (You will need to download the Razer application to program the buttons as well as tweak any other settings to your liking. This applies to PC and Xbox users. Application can be found in the Microsoft Store.) Possible Cons (Depending on your preference, none of these bother me in the slightest) -Doesn't have interchangeable joysticks or buttons -You aren't able to remove the cable from the controller. Does have the breakaway towards the USB side. -Cable's material is standard, and not the mesh you normally see from a Razer product. That's it, hope this info was helpful. Like the direction they took with this one. Simplified and refined would be a good way to describe this controller. 2 extra buttons are all I need, and I love the placement of the buttons next to the bumpers. I will update the cons list later depending it's longevity. If it's like the Wildcat in the regard I have high hopes. (That controller is 4 years old and still works lol.) Sorry if this review was too long, I do not write reviews very often. ... show more

  • Quality Controller, maybe more than you need
Color: Black Size: Controller Style: Wolverine V2 Chroma
Six months in with this. Plug and play, somewhat easy to extensively customize with an app you download (my case was Xbox Series X), and it has a lot of buttons. I primarily bought this because it was expensive (expecting quality), good reviews, customizable, was wired, etc. I didn't want another wireless controller, thinking that would effect response time. After using this for the six months, I went back to the OEM Xbox controller. Reason one: I wasn't aware that you could connect the stock controller with a wire (should have read the directions). Two: This controller has too many buttons for me. Seems like that would be a great feature, and for someone else, it very well may be. For me, the extra buttons caused problems, primarily that I would be continually hitting a button that wasn't desired or would bump into a button that would cause issues with my play. Three: My gameplay response was noticeably faster with the stock unit (Halo Infinite, multiplayer). I don't want to knock this controller based on my gameplay; the unit has a quality feel, super customizable, and really no functional issues at all. For someone else, this may be exactly what they need. Turned out that simpler and basic, with a wire, was what I needed. And by the way, after six months of use, everything works and looks exactly the same as the day it came out of the box. Summary: quality is very high and worth the price. Hope the button layout works as you like, especially the buttons on the bottom. ... show more
