I freaked out a bit because my photos came out black like I saw in some of the reviews, so I googled it and they said it was “the way you’re holding the camera”. The black one I was taking photos with camera horizontally and the ones that worked I took with the camera vertically. I tried again and all the horizontal are black and vertical work. I bought it one week ago on prime day. The first picture turned out to be decent (the one which says Brooklyn bridge). I didn’t change the settings hence it wasn’t a great picture to begin with. All subsequent pictures are black. Tried changing the batteries, still doesn’t work.

I bought this for my 9 year old daughter's birthday and she is over the moon for it. It's simple to use, both in taking pictures and loading film. Ours only came with instructions in Japanese, so I got English instructions online easily enough. Picture quality seems to be better inside or when it's a sunny day outside. My daughter loves that pictures develop within seconds and we used it initially to send guests from her party home with pictures in their party bag. I bought this for my daughter. She loves it. The first one we ordered didn’t work and I was very worried that maybe the product was too delicate for an 8 year old. We received the replacement and it works great. My daughter is very careful and take good care of it. I’m not so sure how it would be with a child who is not as careful. My daughter was speechless when she received this for her birthday. This is a old school camera with a new twist. I love how the photo comes out the top of the camera virus the bottom like the original ones did . It is a lot easier to hold in your hand . The set up is pretty easy . Take good insta pictures . Brings back so many memories watching my child use this camera. The fact that it has a selfie mirror in the front is such a plus. Do any of you guys remember trying to get a selfie with the original Polaroids and you never know how they were going to turn out? With this one the selfie mirror is very easy cheesy can see clearly.
