  • its been really fun getting used to this!!! Updated
Pattern Name: Scooter Color: Black
I havent seen a lot of in depth reviews on this scooter, so i will give it a try.....First, ive researched them for a few months, to realize that i wont make a purchase and i just need to start somewhere!!!!! So, i started here, the price was crazy low ($295) and i really thought the specs were pretty good for this scooter. It originally was a $500 scooter, i got it for almost half, i was looking at Emove, Joyor, Isinwheel and Obarters, Which are Crazy Priced!!! Understandably, but i didnt wanna spend that money off the bat....what if i wasn't into it?? Well, i bought this and $314 shipped to my door, i figured its a great place to start.........im a few weeks in, and this thing is a Tank!!!!! Ok, im 255 pounds, so i'm a bigger dude, but this is SO MUCH fun!!!!! down some crazy hills, not often, but it took it like a champ!!!! Very tough construction!!!! i look forward to every time i get to ride this thing, so i guess i am into it!!! ive already ordered my next scooter, and probably wont stop there!! This Hover 1 alpha will get you excited!!! Unless you are a speed demon!!!! But at 18MPH at 255 pounds, thats not bad for $314!!! I strongly recommend this scooter for guys like me that just arent sure yet whether you wanna spend the big bucks! Another way i look at this is.....if it breaks down, im a machinist and not a moron when it comes to engineering some new ideas for something like this! So if you got that mind set or a few friends that can help in that area, just buy it for the crazy cheap price and just have fun!!!! You would think 18MPH isnt that big of a deal, but i cant wait to get back out there and do it again!!!! But it has been a blast and a complete monster in handling what i give it, so im not worried about its lasting power. Its providing fun right now!! So, Have fun and be safe!! Very fun ride, especially with the 10 inch air filled wheels!! you can find a lot of cheap scooters with solid wheels, that are great if you arent worried about ride quality. This has no suspension and rides rather nicely!! Anyway, thats my review. ive thoroughly enjoyed myself on this scooter, i think you probably will too!! If it says $295, go for it, thats the deal i got!! **Update(8-15-23), i wanted to add, mare sure your tires are full, otherwise you will not get top speed, i only got about 12mph first time out, when i filled the tires, 18mph, no problem, maybe get some green slime and solve the slow leak in the tires, enjoy!! ... show more

  • Overall Good.
Pattern Name: Scooter Color: Black
I’m 5’10 and weight 140lbs. So I’m on the small end. I’ve had this scooter for almost a year. I had to send the first one back because of a squeak from the back wheel that was annoying. I had no issues with it. They simply asked me to return it and they shipped me a new one really fast. I have noticed that over time the scooter gets slower and slower. I haven’t been able to reach the top speed of 18mph for about a month now. I ride 1.1 miles one way for work 3 times a week. So I use it weekly as my primary work transportation. I ride with lights on both way because I work nights. I also use my speaker pretty often. When I first got it, I would go 18mph the whole way going into work. On the way home about halfway home it would start slowing down to 14-16. That slowly changed not being able to reach 18mph at all on the way home and to getting 12-14 on the way home. Now. I do 14-16 sometimes I reach 17 for a brief moment going to work. And on the way home it’s 10-14 the whole way home. I wish I could replace the battery and go really fast again. But it gets me to work. And that’s really all I need. But it’s annoying at times going so slow, because I remember how fast it used to be. No speaker issues. No light issues. The cruise control is annoying to use. When you engage it expect to slow down 2-4 mph from the speed you were trying to engage it at. Because you have to release the gas twice in a fast motion. But doing that makes you loose power briefly. So you can never engage cruise at top speeds. When my scooter went 18mph. The fastest I would ever be able to engage cruise control was 15mph. Usually it was 13-14. Mine has been really durable. No issues with that. I will try to inflate tires and see it that helps With speed. But they don’t appear obviously low. I’m just wishful thinking. If anyone has any tips lmk. For the money it was worth it. But if get another one I will spend more on it since I use it so much. But I love the speaker!!! That’s the best part. ... show more

  • Steering head bearings failed
Pattern Name: Scooter Color: Blue
We bought this scooter for my then 9 year old for his 2021 Christmas. Initially, it seemed like a good purchase but quickly developed a few problems. His biggest complaint is the handle bars wiggle. The latch at the hinge broke first with the cross pin bending and falling out. I fabricated a replacement and got him going again. The brakes were next. His complaint was that they would not stop him. I found I had to adjust the caliper to compensate for pad wear. The adjustment requires removing the caliper to access a threaded plug that you screw in as the pads wear. Adjusting the cable free play only takes up slack on one side of the caliper. Then the steering head became loose again. This time I found that the cage that contains the ball bearings had disintegrated, allowing all the ball bearing to accumulate on one side and introduce free play in the connection. No rust, has never been rained on or left out, never ridden in water. One more thing. When I had the rear brakes working properly, he found he could get going and hit the brakes and leave the coolest skid marks. It didn't last long. I replaced the rear tire with a solid unit found here on amazon. Disassembly of the rear drive assembly was required and is a challenge. The solid tire now transmits every road imperfection to the rider but will never go flat. Overall, I still consider it a good purchase. I need to replace the head bearing which I also expect to be a challenge with the wiring harness passing through the middle of everything. It's a machine and all machine need maintenance and repairs. ... show more
