Overall I liked it - but it wasn't that easy to put together. Some places just didn't line up and it was hard to get everything right - one tube was bent and I had to use pliers to fix it! This chair is smaller than your average papasan. Normally they are a little taller, wider, thicker. The cushion is on the thinner side, but what I received- I am VERY happy with. I tend to have blankets all around me, so honestly the cushion isn't a problem for me. I am 5'2 and a little over 220 pounds and I was so nervous reading that it's recommended wait is 200. There is no bowing, creaking, cracking, bending in the frame and I feel very comfortable and it feels very sturdy. I got this for my livingroom to see the tv better when playing videogames and I LOVE this papasan for the price. Pair it with a cute ottoman, blankets and you're either going to snooze quickly ( Like I did.. lol.) or you'll be so comfortable that before you know it, you'll be like 8 hours into a game you meant to play for like 2. When I got it, there was no bent pieces, but it was a struggle to put together. The screws thread in instead of slide but that's not an issue when your husband it putting it together... lol. Overall, if you're look for a papasan but don't want to spend $250-$350 this is a great solution. I would not recommend this one if you're over 6'2. My husband is tall and doesn't get the maximum comfort like I do, but he still likes it. ... show more

This was very easy to put together. Some of the binding covers the screw holes a little, but nothing a little trimming won’t fix. Maybe took 15 minutes to assemble. I used the tools that were given. They can hurt your fingers a little when tightening the bolts, but if your ok will a little finger pain they work just fine. Make sure to tighten all the bolts good. I saw some reviews with some wobble to the chair and I think that’s from not completely tightening the bolts. No wobbles here! The cushion is a little thin. You can slightly feel the bars through it…it’s kind of scratchy too. I would suggest replacing it. If you don’t want to buy a new one, a throw pillow or two with a blanket should fix that. Otherwise it is very comfortable to sit in. If I don’t update in a month it was a good buy! ... show more

I love this chair! Some people complain that you can feel the metal through the cushion which you sort of can (not that much), but if you like firm seating then it won’t be problem for you. Swivel works great, base is durable and made of nice quality material. I will say the box it was delivered in was completely damaged, and that putting it together was difficult. The directions could be a lot more clear. Overall though it’s a great chair. I’ll update in a few months ... show more

I never do reviews but felt forced to do one due to how bad this chair was. The weight capacity is 200lbs for this chair and I weigh 190. Previously I used those cheap $50 folding saucer chairs and they would usually last 6 months to a year before the screw/bolt holding one side together would break or come out. Even then I could put a new screw/bolt and continue using it. I saw this OSP Designs Papasan Chair with good reviews and figured I should spend some more money and get a higher quality chair but I was very wrong. The first problem with it is that the cushion it comes with sucks. It was uncomfortable as I could feel the metal when sitting on it. I bought a Blazing Needles Solid Twill Papasan Chair Cushion here on Amazon to use instead. It was way more comfortable and at that point I was happy with the chair. However within a month the screw/bolt in the back of the base ripped out of the weld so the chair started to be loose/rocking. I drilled a whole through the tube and put a screw/washer/bolt to reinforce it. Again at that point I was happy with the chair. Over the next few months the ball bearings every so often came out of the chair. Then one of the thin rounded metal rods that supports the cushion broke. The chair is now loose/rocking from right to left as well as I guess bent and leaning downwards to the right. At this point there is no way to be happy with this piece of garbage. It is falling apart left and right and is kind of funny until I think of the money I paid for it plus money for a better cushion. I got the chair for $125 but see it as high as $200 other places. This chair is an absolute scam and should have a lower weight capacity. I imagine most people rating it 4-5 stars are either not using the chair a lot or weigh way less than the 200lbs capacity. In that case the chair might be alright for you. ... show more

The setup is a headache. The directions are straight forward and the tools I needed came in the package BUT the holes for the screws are not flush, so I had to cut some wicks to move them out of the way so the screws could go through the holes. I shouldn’t have to do all of that. One of my screws is slanted because the holes didn’t line up on the two half pieces. At the base of it where the first half circle goes into the other, the piece that goes into the other was bent and there were more wicks covering the hole… it’s not exactly worth what I paid, but I did finish it and I do like the chair, however I’m not entirely sure it’s worth the headache. All depends on how bad you want it 🤷🏾♀️ ... show more

I’ve been eyeballing getting one of these chairs for awhile now. I’m mad at the fact that I haven’t done it sooner! Such a comfy chair. Assembly was pretty straight forward. Some of the holes, for the screws, you had to play with a bit to get them through. But all in all, took about 15-20min to assemble. If you’re on the fence about it, get it!
